Most hated adverts

I’m sure we’ve had this thread before, but there are always new shit adverts 😁

My least favourite at the moment is the new Sainsbury’s ad where the boy says, “Daaaaaad…” and the dad cuts in with “Don’t say it!” before the boy asks what’s for dinner. Flummoxed looking dad then turns to the camera and asks “Any ideas, Sainsbury’s?”

What’s that all about? Is it really an outlandish question for a child to ask? It’s not like he wants to go to Disney World. It isn’t unusual for children to expect to be fed, and quite why the dad is so bewildered at the idea of having to think of something when dinner happens every day of every year, I can’t imagine.

What are your most hated ads?

The poor broken donkey carrying bricks - after thousands and thousands of years needing donkeys to help them you would think they would have learned to look after the poor buggers

Even better, the ads for electric toothbrushes or toothpaste, where the model is cleaning her teeth sans froth.

The Spoke ad on ITV X with the floppy haired chap in the too tight trousers talking about how special he is. And the fact it is on EVERY ad break

Magnum adverts. I can't stand that exaggerated noise when person bites into the Magnum.

I particularly dislike the new ad because the background music is some strange, distorted, slowed down version of Iggy Pop's The Passenger. The Passenger was the sound track of my punk youth and belongs to being played very loud in a low ceilinged, dark night club full of dry ice & cigarette smoke at 2am in the morning.

Octopus energy radio adverts where they play call recordings of their customers saying how wonderful they are. It’s so OTT and drives me so nuts I always change the station if I hear the start of one of their bloody adverts.

The Wren kitchens one, with that wretched SHOUTY! woman yelling her head off.

Omg I haven’t hated an advert as much as this trailfinders one in years.

I hate to Haribo adverts where they dub males with kiddie voices. Really very creepy.

That bloody stupid Dominos hoo hoo one. I've seen it so many times I'm sick to death of it.

Anyone can buy their way into an airport lounge it's not an exclusive thing so I don't know why they go on about it like that. It's very annoying.

The Charlotte Tilbury one! I absolutely hate it! The whole overload of pink and the dot dot/dab dab bit, and then her appearing like a heavily botoxed drag queen at the end! I had actually intended on buying some of her makeup as I had heard that it was good, but that has put me right off.

Oh God yes, that voice! I have to switch her off, too.

If it gets people thinking about alternatives then I'm all for it .
The amount of money spent on funerals is mind boggling and even a pre-paid plan there's added costs .-flowers, upgrade of casket , extra cars .- if you go for them
It's like the subject of organ donation - have the conversation !

Even if two people say Oh I like the idea of Direct Cremation much less fuss and expense or You are NOT having my body taken off and burned and brought back in a bag

After my Dad's funeral , DH and I bought Direct Cremation Plans .

That's the one, absolutely despise it, I watched the mamma Mia show, and that company sponsored it so that sodding song was on every time they went for one of the many adverts, I was scrabbling for the mute button every time
