PG Tips or Earl Grey for me and a ginger nut 'cause when it mixes with tea it has perfect chewiness.

Sainsbury's Red Label (loose leaf) and whatever is in the biscuit box tbh. I am partial to a chocolate Hobnob though.

WonderingWanda · 30/04/2024 22:42

I go through phases, drank PG for years then switched to Yorkshire again for about a decade but have now switched back to PG for some reason...really not sure why but had a cup of Yorkshire today at work and it wasn't as nice....maybe hormones affect how I like my tea? Always loved a plain digestive but I think McVities might have messed with them recently because they taste a bit chalky. Oh, or maybe its because of covid? That's when I switched tea bags, after I had covid the first time and I think I had it again recently as I couldn't smell for weeks after a cold, which is also about when I stopped enjoying the digestives.....bloody covid!

Marks and Spencer’s extra strong tea, with very little milk and a KitKat!

Bigredpants · 30/04/2024 22:48

M&S extra strong in the blue box. (Yorkshire tea fans need to try this).
Tiniest splash of skimmed milk. Bone china large mug which must be white inside.
Speculoos.

F1rugby23 · 30/04/2024 22:50

Earl grey and digestives plain or dark chocolate

Els1e · 30/04/2024 23:01

Yorkshire Tea (regular blend) and McVitie digestive. Dunked!

chattyness · 30/04/2024 23:03

My favourite favourite tea is a cheapo brand from Tesco. I've never liked cheap tea before as it's usually tangy and dusty but Stockwell is really lovely. I love home made cinnamon oat biscuits when I can be bothered to make them but I adore the Border Biscuits with the butterscotch bits in

Funnywonder · 30/04/2024 23:04

Punjana or Barry's loose leaf and Border Dark Chocolate Ginger biscuits.

RosesAndHellebores · 30/04/2024 23:08

Twinings extra strong breakfast tea or Yorkshire Tea. I used to like PG Tips but the taste has changed (I think).

Earl Grey in the afternoon.

Pink wafers.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 30/04/2024 23:08

Any kind of English breakfast (usually tetley)

With a penguin

Ohyeahwaitaminute · 30/04/2024 23:08

I miss Barry’s Tea. Can you get it in the uk?

Meanwhile, it’s M&S Extra Strong loose leaf - brewed 5 mins - with a dash of milk. (Afternoons it’s Yorkshire decaf)
Homemade shortbread or Lotus biscuits.

PickAChew · 30/04/2024 23:10

Chamomile and a Gluten Free Nairn's Oatie or two.

Enko · 30/04/2024 23:10

Earl Grey tea for me. No milk.... I don't really do biscuits ..

LaWench · 30/04/2024 23:11

I'm a good old fashioned Yorkshire Gold not too steeped with lots of skimmed milk in a tall latte mug with chocolate hobnob, no dipping, just a munchy accompaniment.

Surely you can? I used to get it sent from home, but the Neal’s Yard Dairy branch in Borough market used to stock it, and I think so does Sainsbury’s…?

clsaladqueen · 30/04/2024 23:15

Ooh yes shortbread and earl grey for me too

PickAChew · 30/04/2024 23:17

Lupin61 · 30/04/2024 22:33

Chai tea with oat milk and fox’s jam and cream biscuit

A curious combination. Do you not like cow's milk in a hot drink?

Ohyeahwaitaminute · 30/04/2024 23:17

Thanks @Huldrafolk I think some branches of Sainsbury’s stock it, but not round here. Have googled and Ocado stock it. I get a delivery from them every 3 months or so, so it’s going on my list.
