How many of you have tried coke?

I’ve never ever been into drugs. I won’t touch them. Mainly bc I have anxiety and ocd. But I’ve been out with my mates who love to do coke when we’re out, and I always say no, but last time I was genuinely tempted to just try a little bit.

If you’ve tried it what’s your experience. Worth it or nah?

The first time I tried it I absolutely loved it and had intense cravings for more the next day.

Thankfully I couldn't get my hands on any!

The next few times I tried it the comedown was so horrendous it put me off.

I consider myself lucky.

Weed is my drug of choice!

Just don’t….it’s a dreadful addiction and happens very quickly.

I did it a few times when I was younger and to be honest don't really see the hype. It gave me more energy and a bit of a 'buzz' but that's about it.

Would never in a million years do it again now Im a mother.

Tried it a couple of times. Not for me.
Neither was weed as a teenager.
I'd rather have a pint and a ciggie, that's my vices covered
Drugs and gambling have always been my main things to avoid. It's served me well.

You'll feel the highest of highs and then the lowest of lows and you'll want to do a bit more to perk you up cos you feel sooo shit and there the cycle begins. If you know you're impulsive and your mates are already n this cycle and can readily access it, then do yourself the wisest and kindest thing possible and stay clear. By the sounds of it you won't be one of those who can take it or leave it, it's really not worth that initial first high op. Everyone starts out thinking they're in control, truth is not many are.

Don't bother it's a wanker's drug.

It's NOT physically addictive as it doesn't cross the blood brain barrier. It IS psychologically addictive.

Why bother? Why run the risk of that psychological addiction?

Once, didn't like it, distinctly underwhelming. Did lots of other 'party' drugs, speed, ecstasy, LSD occasionally and smoked a lot of weed, all infinitely better than coke. Now live opposite cokeheads and it's up there with heroin on my list of drugs to avoid, it destroys people.

My friend's brother was quite into coke while on nights out. One night he took too much and went into cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated however now has an acquired brain injury and cannot live independently.

Itll be pointless taking it anyway if you behave ADHD, it would just make you feel "normal"

I'm 33 now but from being around 18 to 22 I used to dabble in it and could never understand why it made me so chilled out and tired whilst everyone else was extremely energetic and buzzing. Diagnosed with ADHD at 30 and read about cocaine and ADHD and it made sense 😅

I did a few times years ago in my early 20s. Pretty much my overriding memory is of feeling super happy and everyone all talking at the same time, so no listening at all. I do remember for a week after my teeth feeling almost loose in my jaw (slight wobble) apparently it can cause horrible dental issues. Anyway never tried it again as I spent my teenage years with train tracks and am vain about my nice smile.

Tried once 11 years ago when in a vulnerable position and I made the bad decision to try it. It didn't do anything for me except keep me awake all night! I didn't feel a noticeable 'high' from it, felt more like I had drank a very strong energy drink. Decided afterwards to never touch it again.

It was like when people were saying weed would make me relax (only ever smoked twice in my life, aged 16 and 23), both times not pleasant or remotely relaxing. Drugs aren't for me. I am a addict though, an alcoholic (currently alcohol free & happy with that).

Honestly @Lilllypad11 why would you do that to yourself?

I've never met anyone whose personality is improved by cocaine.

It's not even that great.

Best case scenario? You quite like it, find it makes socialising easier and you waste 1000's of pounds turning yourself into a bit of a tit every weekend.

Worst case scenario? You do not even want to go there. It's not pretty.

Find yourself some new friends. Coke-heads are utter dicks.

And that's without even considering the moral wasteland that buying cocaine entails.

Nope, never tried any drugs, never even smoked tobacco. I was a student in the early 80s and it wasn’t fashionable then. A minority did drugs but they were pretty screwed up.

Overrated, amphetamine,E,lSD were my drugs of choice, amphetamine is a bugger it fair messes with mh much like coke, psychosis is hardly a fun time.

I am gobsmacked that people are casually discussing which drugs they prefer without any consideration for the amount of blood spilled to make and traffic most of them. Do I think people who take drugs are utter twats who have blood on their hands for getting involved in such a trade? Yes. And that’s before you even get to the part where taking the drugs makes you look like a chemically altered idiot. Thinking back to younger days - whether it was one friend on weed just sitting staring at the carpet and declaring it to be the most beautiful thing they’d ever seen or another friend running down the street screaming that the lampposts were chasing her on LSD - they all looked like dicks, and all had gone through illegal purchases from violent gangs who controlled the drug scene then, supporting a world which was happy to kill to maintain control of the drug supply route.

Just don’t even think about it. Any anyone who says their dealer is chill though - ignorant dicks. There is violence and death all the way through the drug world. To pretend there isn’t in your bit of it to assuage your guilt is pure ignorance.

I know plenty of old friends who did use Coke often, out at weekends talking shit.. several of them are dead now. Mental health issues killed them all - highly likely connected to the drug taking but no one mentions that. Steer clear, find new friends and never touch it!

I’m willing to bet you’ll try it because it’s being promoted by your friends.

Bear in mind that they’ll happily offer you the odd line but you’ll be expected to pay for it yourself in future and share yours- it’s the height of bad drugs etiquette not to.
…and it’s bloody expensive.

If you have an addictive personality it's best to leave it alone. It makes you feel good but it also makes you a bit of a dick and it's VERY expensive.
