Just out of curiosity

I'm currently trying to lose my postpartum weight... would absolutely devour a croissant but I've had:
-black caffetiere coffee

  • 0% fat Greek yoghurt with blueberries & strawberries

Muesli, full fat yoghurt and banana.

My kid is 3 and I still haven't lost the weight though... So probably don't listen to me 😂

Whiskers4 · 19/04/2024 09:58

An apple, knowing I'd be having a lattee and cake right now!

It's usually a small bowl of cereal, toast and banana or yogurt and fruit.

1yearplan · 19/04/2024 09:59

Granola, an apple and a cup of tea.

Aldi low fat cherry yoghurt and a banana.

Misthios · 19/04/2024 10:00

Nothing yet. I don't eat at all until around 12.30pm. Then I had a big bowl of overnight oats with raspberries, banana. Main evening meal between 6-7 and then try to minimise snacking.

For me, the myth that breakfast was the most important meal of the day, you had to "kick start" your metabolism, had to have three square meals a day etc etc was what stopped me losing weight for years.

WhiteLeopard · 19/04/2024 10:01

Nothing. I don't usually eat breakfast.

Whatdoyouseeplease · 19/04/2024 10:05

2 lattes and a stack of homemade pancakes soaked with cinnamon sugar and butter. Mega calories but I don't care!

I have a migraine and could rattle with the amount of pills I've taken, so hoping these will soak them up!

RosieCosy · 19/04/2024 10:06

Greek yogurt with turmeric super blend and grated ginger

Hyperion100 · 19/04/2024 10:06

2 eggs on toast, banana, OJ and black coffee.

I have that 5 days week 😅

EdgarsTale · 19/04/2024 10:08

Will be having blueberries, raspberries, cherries & kiwi with full fat Greek yoghurt, nuts & seeds. I usually eat breakfast around 11am.

ringoffiire · 19/04/2024 10:11

Oats with almond milk, blueberries, ground flaxseed and honey, and 2 cups of coffee.

Oats aren't the greatest breakfast as they are quite carby/ sugary, but I do love them.

MyCatTibby · 19/04/2024 10:15

Maccy Ds Double Sausage and egg McMuffin and two hash browns. Bloody gorgeous 😋

DrJoanAllenby · 19/04/2024 10:17

Breastfeeding and keeping active quickly got rid of any weight I gained whilst pregnant. I used to sit a Mr Motivator BLT video every day until I was back in shape. That was years ago!

I had a slice of buttered toast with marmite and a glass of Pineapple juice.

ItWasntMyFault · 19/04/2024 10:20

Two weetabix with skimmed milk and a teaspoon of sugar and a black coffee.

pumpkinpiee · 19/04/2024 10:21

Two coffees and a pain au chocolat 🐷

mindutopia · 19/04/2024 10:22

A pain au chocolat and a coffee and I'm currently eying of the piece of chocolate cake I brought home from a work training I ran yesterday.

medianewbie · 19/04/2024 10:25

2 toasted potato cakes. 2 boiled eggs.
(just now) A whole Cafetiere of coffee.

GrandColombier · 19/04/2024 10:26

2 espressos.

Spinach, 2 eggs, kimchi and a slice of sourdough.

Just about to have mid morning snack of banana pancake, peanut butter and pecans.

Worth noting I do a fair whack of endurance sports, so quite a high calorie requirement.

SnowFrogJelly · 19/04/2024 10:26

Egg on toast 😋

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 19/04/2024 10:27

Nothing yet, but once I’ve finished cleaning the kitchen (overdue) since I’m trying to keep off bread, I’ll be having a brunch of a small jacket potato, microwaved yesterday, sliced and fried in a mere film of oil, with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Possibly with a scrambled egg if I CBA.

I wish I liked the cereal/berries breakfasts, but I’m not mad about cereal and I loathe yoghurt.

longtompot · 19/04/2024 10:27

Regretting not keeping the almond croissants in my shopping as I really fancied one earlier this week. Just had some Tiger bread toasted, one with PB & marmalade and one with pate & marmalade and a mug of cafetière coffee

Boxerdor · 19/04/2024 10:28

I had an omelette on a bread roll from Greggs with a cup of tea. It was nice but needed bacon. But I’m trying to be healthy ish (and failing most of the time)

popandchoc · 19/04/2024 10:29

Bagel with scrambled egg .

Mammma91 · 19/04/2024 10:29

I’m 3 weeks post partum, took myself out to the local garden centre for breakfast. Had a full English breakfast! I’m starving, breast feeding and I don’t want to wash anymore dishes. I spilled my older DC’s bowel of cereal at 7:30 this morning before school. So I justified taking myself out to breakfast after 20 minutes of cleaning mushy weetabix off every inch of my kitchen floor and cupboards!

Westfacing · 19/04/2024 10:30

For years I've always been a big breakfast eater - savoury stuff such as eggs, tomatoes, avocado, etc. then just to ring the changes swapped to full fat yoghurt with frozen fruit; but for the past few weeks I've been going without breakfast, just a double shot Nespresso latte.

I used to be ravenous in the morning and never understood how people could go without - now it seems normal!
