If this year is the end of the Tory government, how will you remember them?

I think the end of years of the same government people are always sick of them and wanting change tbh

GoodnightAdeline · 18/04/2024 20:58

I’ll try not to

CantBelieveNaive · 18/04/2024 20:58

Thieving selfish pr!cos who got away with robbing the country and NHS of over £300million in fast track covid companies.
They have got away with murder and theft.
They should be inside and very ashamed instead they are walking around like they own the place (Boris, Truss, Sunak) shame on them. Disgraceful humans 🥲

Spendonsend · 18/04/2024 21:00

Corrupt, Incompetent, Vandals

Poachedeggavocado · 18/04/2024 21:03

I will remember that they put a shouty immature toddler in charge (Boris de piff poff de waffle johnson) when anyone with a brain could see he was not fit to lead. Cameron ignited brexit but Johnson drove it home, I will remember that after that they put Lizz Truss in charge and now so many people are struggling with their mortgages. I will remember what they did during covid with all the contracts going to their mates. I will remember the parties when people couldn't go to funerals.

I am not naive enough to think Labour are some magical solution but this Tory party is the best example of what happens when one party stays in power too long. I despise them.

Meadowfinch · 18/04/2024 21:08

I think the main things I'll remember are:

Those nightly covid briefings and trying to make sense of them

The ludicrous Liz Truss and disbelief that anyone could possibly think she was fit to be PM under any circumstances.

FrogSplash · 18/04/2024 21:09

Partying while people died.

Twiglets1 · 18/04/2024 21:12

Boris: Go outside. Don't go outside.
Liz Truss: the lettuce wearing a blonde wig lasted longer

Rish!

Stressyfab · 18/04/2024 21:13

Spineless lettuce thieves

minou123 · 18/04/2024 21:15

Con artists

Sold the country out (brexit) and purposefully mismanaging contracts, whilst knowing that people will die (Covid, NHS, other important support services) - all so they could make themselves, and their friends, money.
Lots of money.

MotherOfCatBoy · 18/04/2024 21:16

Is spitting out of the side of your mouth an acceptable response? 😬

Seriously - for the £38 billion they gave to Dido Harding for Test and Trace that vanished, into the black hole with the rest of the cronyism and corruption. 38 BILLION.

AnotherDayAnotherTorySleaze · 18/04/2024 21:17

I think my username says it all… but also that they’re even more selfish and corrupt than I’d have ever believed.

And they facilitated brexshit

The smug grins. Can't look at any of them anymore. They haven't hid their contempt for a while.

RosaRoja · 18/04/2024 21:20

Venal, corrupt, dishonourable

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 18/04/2024 21:39

Incredibly efficient at moving money from public coffers to (their) private pockets.

Billyandharry · 18/04/2024 21:53

Inhumane c*nts with not an ounce of moral fibre or integrity.

fuckityfuckityfuckfuck · 18/04/2024 21:57

Ruining the NHS and education.

Honestly they’ve been terrible from the start. Cameron and Osborne’s decision to impose austerity cuts across public services led to where we are now - NHS in crisis, local authorities going bankrupt, schools struggling, rough sleeping up massively. Even before Brexit and Covid they were screwing the country. We had no food banks before the Tories - there wasn’t a critical mass of desperate people needing to use them.

Brightandbubly · 18/04/2024 22:08

Destroyed everything they laid their hands on

Raspberrymoon49 · 18/04/2024 22:14

Lying, corrupt, disgusting and disgraceful people

Marbledleaves678 · 18/04/2024 22:18

Corrupt asset strippers without conscience, values or vision who stood by while austerity measures were applied unevenly so that the poorest took the hit. They created division and encouraged inequality. And they presided over one of the biggest acts of self harm towards the UK imaginable, namely Brexit.

Amara123 · 18/04/2024 22:20

A group of people with a collective psychopathy.
Party donors and friends first, no one else matters.
As inspiring and moral as a bunch of looters on a post apocalyptic landscape.

anniegun · 18/04/2024 22:21

They caused more damage to this country than any government of the modern era. Corrupt, incompetent, sleazy , cruel and self-serving

DrawersOnTheDoors · 18/04/2024 22:22

Cunts.
