Where is your oldest coathanger from?

I just realised that one of my coat hangers is from MK One, which I haven't shopped at since I was about seventeen (and hasn't existed for many years ).

Does anyone else have any 'vintage' coathangers? I feel weirdly attached to my MK One one, now. We've clearly been through a lot together.

I have one covered with felt, with a stuffed teddy bear head on it that was a Christmas present 51 years ago 😁.

They’re all plain black. Every single one matches. Probably had them around 12 years.

A 1940s one from a London tailor. It belonged to dh's grandfather.

I've got some satin covered stuffed ones, that I think my Gran might have given me (I'm almost 60).

I've also got some solid wooden ones with a bar that I think are probably from the 1950s/60s?

I found one from C&A the other week. I used to love their 'clock house' brand as a teenager

Haha I LOVE this post 😂 My current most elderly hanger is a Topshop one (haven't shopped in there in many years, as it was all getting too small sizing for me and showed too much flesh!) I used to have some of the old grey New look ones, and various ones with 8/10/12 stickers on which were aincent too, but I got rid of them because they just depressed me 😅

I'm going to have to go through my wardrobe this evening now!

I have a sudden urge to check for the names on hangers and see where they came from.😁

I've got one with my dad's name on it from when he went away to university in the '60s. Love this post!

I have a C&A one! I've kept it as I have such fond memories of dragging my mum round there on Saturdays pleading for something new!

Funnily enough, I came across a Racing Green hanger today in my wardrobe and thought, 'how old is that?' It's at least 21 years old.

DH has got a wooden one that FIL took with him when he joined the RAF for national service. It’s got his service number written on it.

He’s, also, got one from when he joined the RAF in 1986 with his own service number on .

That's just mean, I hope you feed her 😉

DMIL had it before she got married and wrote her name in it, though goodness knows why. She would have been married 62 years this year.
