I've just watched Legends of the fall again and yet again in a complete sobbing mess, another was the champwhich I've refused to watch in about 20 years as it gets me in such a state.
What films make you bawl like a baby?

About Time - the beach scene. I can’t even explain it to people without crying. 🙈🙄🤣

Oh my god. Totally me too. Horrific 😔

Also Meet Joe Black. When he walks over the bridge.

RomeoRivers · 14/04/2024 16:11

The Shack
A Little Princess
The Best of Me

curiositykilledthiscat · 14/04/2024 16:19

Terms of Endearment for me too. The hospital scenes are utterly brutal.

BinkyBeaufort · 14/04/2024 16:36

Billy Elliot. His dad and friend at the theatre and his magnificent leap on to the stage - I morph into a soggy, snotty mess.

AuntieMarys · 14/04/2024 16:38

Sophie Choice
Broke back mountain
Thelma and Louise

FusionChefGeoff · 14/04/2024 16:54

The Impossible

Truly Madly Deeply

This ☝️

I haven't watched it in years because I get myself into such as mess over it 😭

daisychain01 · 14/04/2024 16:57

Schindler's List.

The little girl in the red coat 😢

TheBirdintheCave · 14/04/2024 17:01

@RomeoRivers Not the bastardised American version of A Little Princess surely?? It's the worst book adaption I've ever had the misfortune of seeing.

onwardandupwards · 14/04/2024 17:03

The land before time when little foots mum dies, its just too much 💔

Yes, it’s my favourite film, why didn’t you like it?

AnaVanda · 14/04/2024 17:28

Fiddler on the Roof. Tseitel's wedding song 'Sunrise Sunset' and the end when they have to leave the village. 'What do we leave? Nothing much. Only Anatevka' 😭

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 14/04/2024 17:33

Ghost. I don't know why I do it to myself; I know I'll be a swollen-faced mess by the end of it, but Patrick Swayze is just too beautiful in that film (and so is Demi, tbh)

FatArse123 · 14/04/2024 17:49

The final scene of And When Did You Last See Your Father? Is extraordinarily moving.

JoleneTookHerMan · 14/04/2024 17:52

Coco (the animation)

Me too! I start crying when I know the scene is coming up. It's such a lovely film so I watch it, but prepare myself with lots of tissues! 😢

azafata2 · 14/04/2024 17:56

West Side Story. When Tony dies and she picks up the gun and then they all carry him oh, and the music.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 14/04/2024 17:57

The land before time

TheBirdintheCave · 14/04/2024 18:03

@RomeoRivers The book is one of my favourites (to the point where I have a first edition copy!) and the film just destroys it 😭 Sara Crewe is British-French and the whole thing is set in London. America doesn't come into it. Becky is a stocky Cockney and Sara is meant to be skinny with green eyes and black hair.

worriedgal · 14/04/2024 18:07

Haitchi
Philomena
Both utterly heartbreaking

Shadowlands and Ordinary People 😭

Ordinary people made me blue like a baby.
Such an emotional film.

RomeoRivers · 14/04/2024 18:32

@TheBirdintheCave I can see why the differences are annoying, but it didn’t detract from the beauty and the magic of the film for me. I remember doing a book review for it in Y7 and basically crying in front of the whole class as I talked about the little girl and the buns 🙈

Running on Empty with River Phoenix and Martha Plimpton.

Waaaaaaaahhhhh!

Another wonderful film and very underrated. The reunion scene with Annie and her father is perhaps the best acted scene I've ever watched.

If anyone's not seen this yet please do - it's on iTunes and a few other platforms.

kerstina · 14/04/2024 19:18

A dogs journey
A dogs purpose
film where a dog joins a wolf pack ( forgot name)
Marley and Me

LaBelleSauvage123 · 14/04/2024 19:54

Kes - vivid memories of bawling under my Gran’s dining table and still can’t watch it.
ET - or any film with final goodbyes.
Not a film, but the final episode of Fleabag.
