I've just watched Legends of the fall again and yet again in a complete sobbing mess, another was the champwhich I've refused to watch in about 20 years as it gets me in such a state.
What films make you bawl like a baby?

OP posts:
Feebs450 · 13/04/2024 23:42

Lion.

It had me an absolute blubbering mess, two teenage boys struggling to hold back their tears and very nearly had dh (who never cries) welling up. I think he did at one point, he disputes it 😂

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 13/04/2024 23:44

So many! I can cry in any film, it seems. But the really snot-bubble sobby ones that immediately come to mind are Inside Out and Nomadland.

Brokeback Mountain, when he finds the shirt inside his 😭

The most profound film scene ever. Also the only film I have ever watched more than twice.

I had a fling with someone and we attempted watched Brokeback together. He was like a stunned mullet and didn’t get it at all, scrolling as if bored. That was it, he wasn’t the man for me and we never spoke again 😂

Bassetlover · 13/04/2024 23:45

Recent one, All of us Strangers. Heartbreaking.

Babyshambles90 · 13/04/2024 23:48

Lots of the ones already mentioned. Plus I properly sobbed at Moulin Rouge, but that was a long time ago and I haven’t seen it since! And more recently Jojo Rabbit, with the shoes. Tears rolling down my cheeks.

SmallFY · 13/04/2024 23:48

Everything, Everywhere, All at once.

Hit me so hard. Held my husband and sobbed.

Caswallonthefox · 13/04/2024 23:49

The green Mile.

Forest Gump…. Loads of times for loads of different reasons

Orders76 · 14/04/2024 00:01

I thought I'd be the first to say 'Up' but see someone else too.
The scene's of them growing old and him being left alone, just wreck both of us.

All of us strangers ending though we saw it coming.

LesserSpottedAlligator · 14/04/2024 00:02

Freeasabird76 · 13/04/2024 23:14

Gosh,yes that is a tearjerker.
My mother always despaired whenever Lassie or the littlest hobo started because that's all it would take to set me off as a child haha.

My mum and I used to sit and bawl at Lassie together, particularly Lassie Come Home.

dontblameme · 14/04/2024 00:10

No good me making a list, I've been known to sob over TV adverts, I'm a liability at the cinema. We went to see Madame Butterfly recently and I cried for most of the second act. It was a Ukrainian company and right at the end the whole cast sang their national anthem, that really did for me.
