I've just watched Legends of the fall again and yet again in a complete sobbing mess, another was the champwhich I've refused to watch in about 20 years as it gets me in such a state.
What films make you bawl like a baby?

Interstellar. I was not ok.

ttcnumber2x · 14/04/2024 00:14

The good dinosaur 😂

MarkandElizabethForever · 14/04/2024 00:14

So many of the ones mentioned but one that hasn't is If Only. I was distraught.

IfIwasrude · 14/04/2024 00:14

Gladiator. Oh so not ok.

bingoringo4 · 14/04/2024 00:16

Imitation of life

Pixiesgirl · 14/04/2024 00:16

Tyrannosaur I'm not sure of the spelling, the one with olivia Coleman, jeebus christ. Also precious.

Karmakamelion · 14/04/2024 00:16

Jack and Sarah. Full on snotty weeping. Unfortunately resonates too much with me. Unfortunately though my niece didn't survive

CulturalNomad · 14/04/2024 00:17

Marley and Me

Steel Magnolias

And there's one scene in Fried Green Tomatoes that makes me sob....

"It's okay, honey. Let her go...let her go. You know, Ruth was a lady, and a lady always knows when to leave."
😥

Lilya-4-ever God one bit of makes me cry more than anything else.

That was heartbreaking 😭

Cherrysoup · 14/04/2024 00:19

Titanic. Went in all cynical, came out supported by my DH 😭It was the people locked in who stood no chance that did it, bloody horrific. 🙁

MerylSqueak · 14/04/2024 00:21

I told my daughter today that I was never going to watch Sophie's Chooce with her. I'm still upset from the first time about 25 years ago.

IfIwasrude · 14/04/2024 00:21

The ocean at the end of the lane at the theatre was heartbreaking.

LauderSyme · 14/04/2024 00:21

Philomena. I saw it at the cinema and quietly bawled almost all the way through. Heart-rending and enraging.

That was heartbreaking 😭

It really was, the bit that made me dissolve into snotty tears is when lilya breaks her poker face after her mother tells her she won't be coming and she chases
after her calling "mama". I was a snotty mess.

Pixiesgirl · 14/04/2024 00:27

Also breaking the waves. Fucking hell.

Pixiesgirl · 14/04/2024 00:28

OK, I'm depressed now lol

Faffandahalf · 14/04/2024 00:29

Atonement. Watched it so many times. A gorgeous film to watch with beautiful people but absolutely heartbreaking with the twist every single time. And then the imaginary ending she creates.

Thursa · 14/04/2024 00:29

Waterloo Bridge

The name escapes me, but it’s a kids film where the three pets go missing. Two dogs and a cat. Maybe it’s Incredible Journey?

Tezza1 · 14/04/2024 00:33

An old James Stewart movie, "Shenandoah". Even thinking about it makes my eyes well with tears. Honestly, don't think I could watch it again. It breaks my heart.

Dinkymummy · 14/04/2024 00:37

Another for the green mile and also Cinema Paridiso.

CP broke me. The relationship between the boy and Alfredo sets me off from the beginning.
