So I’ve just discovered Tattle…

My friend told me about it recently so I thought I’d have a look. So I do have some views on ‘influencers’ showing off their DC before they’re old enough to consent, but blimey, this goes above any beyond that. There is a woman on Istagram called ‘Knee Deep in Life’ I’ve followed her for years and I can see that’s she’s not everyone’s cup of tea but she’s pretty inoffensive but the way she’s been talked about of Tattle is horrible, I don’t know how anyone could describe as anything else other than bullying.

i stopped reading after this and I’m very willing to stand corrected if this was a one off and every thing else is well put together and thought through but suspect that’s not the case. I know MN is in no way perfect but just found it really nasty.

seo with weird titles like 'teens first time' 🤮 Christ, I know they'll do almost anything for traffic, but deliberately using images of your children to attract paedos is low.

Charlize43 · 07/04/2024 09:59

It was on Tattle that I came across a video of an instagrammer demonstrating the use of video software to alter her body digitally. She was an average looking woman but by the time she'd finished she looked radically different; slim, tiny waist, big boobs, etc.

I really think there should be more in schools to enlighten children not to take anything they see online (especially on instagram) at face value. We are def. moving towards a future of misinformation and fakery.

Tattle was instrumental in getting Philip Schofield fired (or did he leave?) and for that I have to thank them. They don’t sugar coat things but of course like most gossip sites it sometimes gets out of hand.

No it wasn’t. Rumours about PS have been discussed on many internet forums. Tattle is just one of the many.

zingally · 07/04/2024 10:02

Agree.

I spent a bit of time reading on there a few years back, when I followed certain influencers on instagram/youtube. Some people on there were just so nasty. Like, I'm all for a bit of teasing of people who deliberately put themselves out there, but some of the posts were vile and unnecessarily nasty.

I can fully understand calling out people who deliberately exploit their non-consenting children, and their stories, but some posters got incredibly personal in a way that they'd never dare say to a persons face.
Plus some commenters seemed to be on there every day, multiple times a day... Why are you so obsessed with this woman you've never met, who literally has no impact on you whatsoever?
I could only conclude they are very lonely, bored people. With nothing much going on in their own lives.

Tattle 😑

Same, I'd like a code. I've been checking the registration since last October, and it always says it's currently full.
I'd be really grateful if someone here would dm me a code please?!

You are never going to be sent a code on a thread slating Tattle…..

NOTANUM · 07/04/2024 10:18

I wonder what Tattle was saying about Princess Catherine before her cancer diagnosis was made public? I can’t imagine it was very kind.

SecretLocker · 07/04/2024 10:18

Why would that be? I like/agree with the Tattle ethos - I'm not sure what your comment means.

MintsPi · 07/04/2024 10:19

MN is worse. I have never seen posters pick on SPAG which happens here a lot. I also don't see any of the patronising 'you sound young op' and 'what did the police say when you rang them' when the OP hasn't done it yet. I posted on here once and a member decided I was a troll and went through my posts and replied 'has your rash gone yet?' as I had previously posted in the pregnancy section about a rash I had. That wouldn't happen on Tattle.

LuckySantangelo35 · 07/04/2024 10:20

They are horrendous on tattle towards Kate Lawler and about her parenting

babyproblems · 07/04/2024 10:26

For those saying online marketing ie ‘influencers’ isn’t a proper job- I’m afraid I think you’re a bit out of touch with how the online & digital world is working.. it’s very much a growing segment of the advertising industry. I think most of the posters saying it’s not a real job actually mean they don’t agree with it and don’t approve of the barrage of advertising we are all subjected to… not that this is the point of this thread which is about the morality of tattle!!

Agree to an extent however it’s certainly not a full time job for many and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that many “full time” influencers are suffering with their mental health without proper routine and structure to their days.

SabreIsMyFave · 07/04/2024 10:31

Just looked at Tattle and went to look at KneeDeepInLife too. I don't think anyone deserves the amount of vitriol that she is getting, and it's really harsh, but some of the stuff that KneeDeep woman puts online is pretty gross. Inexplicably, she has half a million followers on Instagram! She has celebrities following her too. Including Giovanna Fletcher, Cath Tyldesley, and Kerry Katona. Don't know if there are any more. I could only see these 3.

I do wonder if she looked like Kate Moss, Cheryl Cole, Catherine Zeta Jones, Taylor Swift, Margot Robbie and the like; if the responses would have been different though. People react very differently to much more attractive women.

willWillSmithsmith · 07/04/2024 10:35

Emotionalsupportviper · 07/04/2024 09:07

No - not just influencers @ShiteRider

I never looked at any threads except the Jack Monroe ones and the Harry and Meghan ones.

I don't watch any influencers and wouldn't know who they were talking about.

They didn't give Jack Monroe the lickings of a dog, and IMO she deserved it. I haven't been on for about 5-6 months though (computer problem when I accessed the site, for some reason) and have no idea what's happening now.

I might pop back.

I admit it was the Harry and Meghan one that made me discover Tattle😁. I can’t stand the pair of them but I find them addictively watchable for their cringe factor (the cringe can be very funny). Tattle seems to be the only place you can freely say you can’t stand them. I’ve not personally commented as I’m not registered and I did look up a Catherine one - it was very complimentary and supportive so I don’t think all threads are nasty.

ziggies · 07/04/2024 10:36

I love a good celeb snark but Tattle is just sad. What stuck with me was one of their threads ripping a little teen girl (who did "study" vlogs) apart. I think that teen girl was cringey but SHE'S A TEEN.

It's really pathetic that these grown women hate themselves enough to project it onto teens etc.

MN is sanctimoniously bitchy but Tattle is just pathetic.

JustEatTheOneInTheBallPit · 07/04/2024 10:37

Pixiesgirl · 06/04/2024 22:33

Why do people get their knickers in such a bunch about that website. I don't get it. Life is not run by Disney, people are horrible about other people routinely, get over it, if it disgusts you don't look. I'm not even a member nor do I even know who 99% of the people they talk about are.

Toxic positivity and virtue signalling is the worst, plus deeply deeply dull.

I agree with this user. Tattle is gross but it doesn’t purport to be virtuous and can be readily ignored.

It’s like asking for a tour of the sewer and then being horrified at the shitbergs down there.

Pepsiisbetterthancoke · 07/04/2024 10:40

Tattle posters were calling out Phillip Schofield for years before the general public knew. And it all turned out to be true. Will be interesting to see if what they say about other ITV stars also turns out to be true

And the Taylor Swift threads seem lovely. Even though it’s in the “rant” rather than rave section it is full of people young and old that are so excited about getting tickets and now making plans on costumes and friendship bracelets.

Don’t for a second think some of these influencers don’t read and use Tattle for content. I follow a few where if their Tattle posts say “they haven’t done x,y,z for a while” within a day they are doing it

PlasticineKing · 07/04/2024 10:45

Unashamedly I’d quite like a code too if anyone wants to DM me one.

I do find some of the threads quite cathartic, when you’re watching something that’s really not quite right unfold, or when you think you’re the only one who’s irritates my something. There’s plenty I don’t read on there, but same here!

MaryFuckingFerguson · 07/04/2024 10:46

LuckySantangelo35 · 07/04/2024 10:20

I agree. The Kate Lawler threads really are nothing more than a nasty, jealous, bitch-fest.

I really like Kate’s instagram. She’s funny and honest and doing her best as a newish mum who had horrendous PND. Her daughter is a credit to her and her husband.

She has the temerity to admit some aspects of parenting are crap and she gets torn apart for it.

You’re so right about Tattle and Schofe. They’re none too keen on Willoughbooby either!

Loads of the influencers read Tattle as I said before on this thread they all know if people are talking about them it’s better than if they’re not.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 07/04/2024 08:35

A lot of people tax dodge from it too. Don’t try to defend your ‘job’ sweetie!

Plumbers tax dodge, tradies tax dodge cleaners tax dodge, nannies tax dodge, basically any profession where you can ask to be paid in cash and that’s quite common has plenty of tax dodgers (and of course lots of people who file their taxes like the rest of us). They are all real jobs.

Charlize43 · 07/04/2024 10:57

You could say Tattle is the same but different.

If you hate a celebrity / influencer head to Tattle.
If you hate women head to Reddit.
If you hate men head to Mumsnet.
If you hate immigrants head to Daily Mail.
If you hate everyone head to Twitter.

There's probably more to add to this list...

SunFlowerRose · 07/04/2024 10:58

Does anyone have a Tattle invitation code please they'd be willing to inbox me? It says it's currently full and you can only register with an invite code.

Have gone down a proper rabbit hole and wanted to bookmark it for later.

Reading this thread is like excavating a mean girl's mind.
