Seabrook potato crisps

As far as I know, this Bradford firm doesn't make any other similar snack foods, just crisps. They've been crinkle cut for decades but I remember when they weren't. Anyhoo, what is your favourite Seabrook flavour...?

Mine is Pickled Onion. A little antisocial but very tasty and tangy. The Spring Onion ones are a bit overpowering for me. Smoky Bacon also good.

Ready Salted or Cheese & Onion.

They were the only brand available in my secondary school in Sheffield in the 90s. Just seeing the branding takes me back buy I haven't actually eaten them since!

We get Tayto in Tesco, only the yellow ones though. Not the red and blue.

Went to Dublin recently my kids were in Tayto heaven but cheese and onion are still the best.

Seabrook I like Spring Onion, haven't had them for years though.

My intro to Seabrook was the tandoori chicken in the early 80s.

I only like ready salted crisps, these days, but not the Seabrook ones.

I agree ready salted Seabrooks are horrible now and just taste oily. I find Seabrooks in general not as nice as they once were.

I'm still wishing they'd bring back burtons potato puffs! loved them 😋

NCfor24 · 04/04/2024 22:27

Brannigans roast beef and mustard were the best crisps...they hurt your mouth but tasted so good!

Tayto are in Morrisons in the World Aisle.

Sadly not every Morrisons stock Tayto and other Irish delicacies, we have to go 10 miles to the next town to get our fix ☹️ (Tayto, Red lemonade, Club Orange, Mikado and Kimberley biscuits and other such gifts to the world).

I did used to like them, but they seem to be less flavourful now. Got really excited to find some cheese and chive ones in the shop, But they weren't that great.

moolady1977 · 04/04/2024 23:07

I loved the spring onion flavour ones and would buy a couple of packets to take home with me when I'd finished work in the wmc , not seen that flavour for years

TheTecknician · 04/04/2024 23:11

Ocado and sainsbury near me, but sadly not for £1!

Seabrook are too oily now.

On a positive note Marmite have teamed up with Tayto to replace the Marmite flavour recently abandoned by Walkers (bastards).
