Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, with the window flung open so I can hear the birds outside. I think dd2 is up already but no-one's been down yet so it's lovely and quiet apart from the birds 😊

We were going to jump on the train somewhere but the weather forecast was a bit rubbish so decided against it. We're off into town instead. Dd2's asked for a couple of new tops & maybe some different trousers to leggings so we'll see what we can find her.

Dd1's coming because Mum's paying 🙄🤣 sure she'll find something she likes while we're out!

There's a nice looking cafe/restaurant in town we've been meaning to try so I think we'll eat there today.

Later on it'll be either read, or craft, for me. I want to get my Eras jacket completely finished over the next day or two - I wanted to do all sorts of other things too but am running out of time!

I am having a quiet breakfast. Very intense day at work coming up.

Kids and DH have a day of fun planned and then tonight we will paint some eggs for tomorrow!

Just getting up then off to Sainsburys
Dd is still in bed she has work later
Dh is still in bed he goes away today with work so will drop him at the train station this afternoon
Have some washing to do and change the beds and hoover
Take the dog for a walk
Will do burgers and salad before Dd goes to work
No plans for later other than catching up with some tv and maybe do some family history research

Fed all the cats at 9am our time.

Opened up the summer house/potting shed to let the seedlings see the sunlight after yesterday's torrential downpours.

Got the dough out of the fridge that I made yesterday to make a loaf.

Just about to prep breakfast which we will have when the OH gets back from his first group run in a month as he went back to the UK and then came back with COVID.

I've put a wash on, as the seems to be a glimmer of sunshine today.

Then, I'll be either planting potatoes if the rain stays away, or pricking out seedlings.

And finishing off my garden irrigation system now I have all the connectors. Yay.

Still in bed, DH has gone to make breakfast. We have a million things to do today before we have a houseful for Easter lunch tomorrow. DD is with her dad until Monday evening and I have zero motivation to do anything!

Think it'll be pad Thai for tea and hopefully an early night but with my to do list I don't hold out much hope!

Good morning all. I'm currently having a coffee whilst finishing off a jigsaw puzzle that my DD has stalled on (1000 pieces). Just took some rolls out of the oven to make hotdogs later, having managed to scald my foot on the hot water pan at the bottom of the oven. You should've seen me running about the kitchen, getting ice out the freezer, chargng to the cloakroom sink, bunging my foot in the ice water (didnt know i was that flexible) while the rolls were baking. No sign of a burn yet, so I think I got away with it. Too much drama for 8am on a Saturday morning!

Just on second coffee in pjs still. Suns out

The dc are still in bed as is dh so it's nice and quiet. Just caught up with a show I've been watching and chilling with the dogs

Plan to do washing house stuff this morning then sort my business paperwork out for this week and pootle really.

Popping out to see dparwnts later and might go for coffee and cake somewhere later.

I have a chilled weekend planned here as works been hectic.

I really could do with a week off

I'm just contemplating getting up. Hopefully, it will be a day in the garden as it is currently not raining. Also, there is a bit of prep for lunch tomorrow. Need to make the pavlova and decide on some sort of fishy starter.

About to get dressed and go into London with DH to have lunch and see a matinee.

One grown up DS coming for Easter lunch tomorrow. Can't wait. The other has been sent eggs and rabbits as he's on night shift tonight.

Morning everyone. I'm currently enjoying some rare peace and quiet as DD(9) still asleep. We have sunshine here so far so going to get a wash on and hung out then maybe a walk/bike ride somewhere later. DD will want to watch the final of Gladiators later so will make sure we're home for that. Shopping delivery late evening then I need to hide the eggs for egg hunt tomorrow once DD in bed.

Just doing some admin stuff, organising payment for kids clubs etc. We are going on a city break in a few days as a family so I'm also doing a packing checklist.

I've booked a yoga class for 10.30, its a one off as I usually have kids activities on Saturday and its great to have a week off so I'm doing what I want for once!

I'm bringing 2 youngest to an egg hunt in the local shopping centre from 12 -2. Usually there is a code breaking challenge and they win an egg for completing it. I also need to do a grocery shop but it will be busy so I think I'll come home and go back again later.

What I really want to do is start a huge jigsaw I got for mother's day but it will take over the table and we have family coming tomorrow for dinner so I think I'll have to postpone (jigsaw, not family!).

DD and I are up and having breakfast. We’re going to London today to see a band at Wembley. We’re both a bit hyper!

DH is working tonight so he’ll have a quiet day and take DDog out/watch crap on TV.

DS and his GF are here but both working today so leaving soon I imagine.

I’m having a rare lie in, DH and DS1 have taken the dogs out. DS2 away so it’s quiet.
It will be shower and breakfast, then I hope to do some gardening. This afternoon I will make Easter nest cakes, and I think a lemon meringue pie for tomorrow as I have my parents coming for lunch. Might prep the veg too. DS2 home later so we will have curry and maybe watch a film together. Hoping to give myself a post gardening manicure as well.

It's my birthday 🥳! However my DD has the flu and my son who lives away is working today to get Monday/Tuesday off so won't get here till about 10pm so it will really be tomorrow I'll celebrate.
So I'm just finishing breakfast and then will go back to bed for a lazy couple hours. I have dogs to walk and need a bit of tidy up. Then going round to a friends for a drink. Then home to cook dinner for me and DD and hope my son is not too late!
I think I may have said yesterday that if it stays dry overnight I'll mow the lawn...

Still in bed. Busting mum out of care home later to go and visit dd2.

A lie-in and a job app. Maybe a hospital visit later (depends on whether someone else is going in, can't have us all there)

I've been awake since silly o'clock, have got up, got the washing machine on and the dishwasher emptied. My cleaner is coming in an hour or so - I've finished tidying up and emptied the bins so she's got a clear run.

I've started volunteering for a local charity who craft 'things' for people in nursing homes with no friends or family so I'll get my 'sticking and glueing' stuff out when my cleaner has gone and make a jolly mess again!

Usual lazy morning here. I slept in until 7.30 which was nice. Have had a few cups of tea and a hot cross bun.

Nothing much planned for the weekend. DS is home from uni but has work to do so doesn’t want to do anything.

Need to do some washing and water the houseplants. And the greenhouse.

We would be gardening but DH buggered up his knee so can’t do anything.

I might start a jigsaw after talk of others doing them has reminded me I have a few to do.

@Alalalalalongalalalalalonglonglilong - I have a fold up jigsaw mat that I use for jigsaws and I can fold the top over it and slide it under the sofa when I need the table. (It multitasks and dusts under the sofa while it’s there!)

I’m away staying in a gorgeous house by the beach. I’ve just been for an energising walk on the beach with DDs - the weather is glorious and sunny but just a little chilly still.
Stopped for cappuccino and smoothies on way home and now going to have a lovely hot shower and get ready for the day.
We’re heading to a pretty market town later for a browse around.
Then a huge family gathering later for dinner to celebrate my MIL’s birthday.
Really looking forward to it all.

Was up at 6am with my freaking tooth (I have an infected wisdom tooth, moaned about it on yesterday's thread and will no doubt moan about it on tomorrow's too 😂) but I managed to clear all the washing lines, prep the marinade for dinner, have a bath and a nice cuppa in peace before the kids woke at 8am.

I'm now at swimming lessons with older 2, then back home as food shopping due.

After lunch we're going to the woods, its going to be muddy and messy but the kids love it (and the weather is actually quite nice today).

Home for chilli and ginger pork kebabs, salad and rice and then a film later.
