Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, with the window flung open so I can hear the birds outside. I think dd2 is up already but no-one's been down yet so it's lovely and quiet apart from the birds 😊

We were going to jump on the train somewhere but the weather forecast was a bit rubbish so decided against it. We're off into town instead. Dd2's asked for a couple of new tops & maybe some different trousers to leggings so we'll see what we can find her.

Dd1's coming because Mum's paying 🙄🤣 sure she'll find something she likes while we're out!

There's a nice looking cafe/restaurant in town we've been meaning to try so I think we'll eat there today.

Later on it'll be either read, or craft, for me. I want to get my Eras jacket completely finished over the next day or two - I wanted to do all sorts of other things too but am running out of time!

Good afternoon :) Lazy morning this morning as DD was tired from a late family dinner last night and DH was on a late shift, so I hung out with the baby downstairs while they snoozed/watched stuff on the iPad. Had a quick pop to the shops to collect my vinted parcels (for once things for ME and not children’s clothes!) and grabbed a packet of sushi for my lunch.

Baby currently napping and DD is playing schools with her teddy bears so I’m going to sort out some of the mounds of washing that have accumulated. Then we’re off to my mums for tea and the Gladiators final!

Town was unsuccessful 😥 Dd did find a top and some trainers she likes but not much else. Dd1 otoh found a fair few things she likes 🙄 Just on our way home now, quick cuppa, then back out to pick something up for dd1 from my friend.

Picked up a couple of pre-cooked ham shanks for tea with salad so we'll have those when we get in. Need to put some brain power into tomorrow's dinners too, we definitely need spuds, not sure what else 🤔

Sadly my husbands was very successful, shoes and clothes are very expensive in Sweden, he’s spent almost £45 on one pair of toddlers leggings, I’m not going to torture myself by looking at any other price tags.

Stripped the beds and got it all on the line.
Today is a most glorious day here, sunshine, light breeze, blue skies.

I’ve painted half of my conservatory after a trip to B&Q.
cleaned the kitchen, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher.
Showered hair washed and taken my mother for a coffee and cake at the garden centre.

I am feeling so so accomplished because I normally would nope around in my pjs getting nothing done.

Quiet one for us after a busy few days.

I have been prepping for Easter lunch tomorrow - made carrot and swede mash, par boiled the roasties and carrots, prepped the chicken ready to go in the oven and made a lemon roulade for pud.

Me and baby DS just popped out to the shops for some washing up liquid and to pick up a Vinted parcel, it’s such a lovely day!

I’ve just finished a coffee and contemplating going to clean the bathroom. We’re having an easy dinner of chicken goujons and salad wraps as I have seen enough of the kitchen today! When the kids are in bed and I’ll do a proper clean and tidy of downstairs and lay out their Easter eggs and little gifts.

Afternoon everyone. I'm all confused about what day it is. Keep thinking it's Sunday .

I've had a very lazy day so far. I'm going to tidy my bedroom shortly and clean the en-suite. We're having beef burgers for dinner. I picked up my lamb from the butcher's a few minutes ago, for tomorrow's dinner.

I've a few life admin type things to do, including claiming back expenses from Revenue. I've my car booked in for a service soon, so I'm hoping the expenses covers the cost of the service. But that's probably wishful thinking.

I've been stealing glances at my Easter egg all day. I've a sweet tooth and I'm worse than a child where chocolate is concerned. Roll on tomorrow chocolate for breakfast.

DD is at the nail salon, getting her fake nails taken off.

Crikey @Simonjt 😱 these were from Primarni so not too much if she decides she's actually not that keen. I like the top - think she should have got a couple of other colours 🤔

Dd1's currently flouncing around in Hello Kitty trakkies and crocs while I drink my brew 🤣

Sun came out so outside like lots of other people I should imagine. Felt like Spring.

We took our two children to the pier for a little Easter egg hunt, then to the park and library. Some friends of ours have not been feeling too well lately so we took their two children. I forgot how much energy toddlers can have. Once they were picked up our two watched a dvd while me and DH both fell asleep on the sofa. We are just going to have sandwiches later because we had lunch out and watch the final of gladiators.
