Best way to make a bacon sandwich

I've just had a bacon sandwich 😍

I don't eat bacon very often because I only like it the way I cook it at home- very well done with every single bit of fat cut off. I make myself a bacon sandwich maybe once a month when I get a craving, probably a good thing given the way I like to cook it!

IMO this is the only way to make a bacon sandwich:

All the fat cut off
Fried in too much butter til basically caramelised
On white bread or sourdough with more butter and brown sauce

Served with a glass of orange juice with bits.

Surely this can't be topped!

I love a bacon sandwich can't have them often due to high cholesterol.

  1. 4/5 unsmoked back bacon rashers fat left on
  2. Fried in salted butter until very crispy and almost black
  3. White tiger bread thickly cut
  4. More butter on the bread, thickly spread
  5. Bacon layered onto bread and covered generously with ketchup.

You can see WHY I have high cholesterol. 😂

Thick sliced bacon.
leave the fat on and dry fry in the oil that comes from the fat, cook it slowly so that the fat renders right down to crispy perfection.
Keep a weight on it whilst cooking so it doesn’t curl up at the edges.
Fresh, fresh, fresh bread cake, preferably white and straight from the bakers.
no butter for me, just brown sauce, but if I’m feeling really decadent add a fried egg.

Take it to bed with a cup of Yorkshire Gold, good splash of milk, no sugar.

Leave the fat on. Cook till crispy. Loads of butter on white bread or toast. Sometime add egg and red sauce.

Am I the only one who prefers bacon just cooked through, I hate crispy bacon.
Dons hard hat.

No, I like my bacon just cooked. I don't like crispy bacon either.

Smoked streaky. Fried til slightly crispy.

Toast granary bread and spread with butter. Add bacon, very thinly sliced cheddar and some thinly sliced red onion. Squirt over ketchup and sandwich together.

The stuff of dreams.

Lightly toasted tiger loaf, 3 rashers of smoked bacon done under the grill until just starting to go crispy.
Butter the bread (real butter of course) and a ketchup or HP depending on mood.
Served with a cup of tea! Only time I ever drink tea is with a bacon sarnie.

Damn it, I really want one now!!

I like a bit of honey on it with white bread

Bacon in the air fryer. Fight me. Perfectly cooked and crispy.

I bake mine (always smoked back bacon), usually leave the fat on.

Serve it one of three ways:

  1. granary bread, brown sauce, no butter
  2. baguette, brie and cranberry sauce
  3. sourdough, avocado and bacon.

No. 2 is a real favourite on a working from home day.

There is no right way to make a bacon sandwich because all bacon sandwiches are good.
