Did anyone sense you were pregnant before you told them?

I don’t know how this can even happen!

I’m 6 weeks and collected a Chinese takeaway from my local. I always chat with the lady, she’s really lovely. As I was picking up the food she stopped me and said, ‘are you pregnant?’

I’d not mentioned any symptoms or anything to her - totally spooked! She said she could just ‘tell’ and sensed it the last couple of times I’ve been.

Has this happened to anyone else? I wonder how people know or whether it was just an incredibly lucky guess!

Hi!

I've not had this experience before by my hair dresser knew I was pregnant when I had just found out by the change in my hair or something 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ which I found really weird!

Yes, I was only a 5/6 weeks pregnant and walking upstairs as a colleague was coming down and she caught my hand and said "anything you want to tell me?" I was stunned when she said she just knew!

The woman in the fertility clinic who took my blood test said she thought I was (she only shared this with me after she rang me later that day to confirm that I was!). She said she could just tell who was and who wasn't after doing the job for so long...don't know how!

Yes, weirdest of all, by someone who saw me through the window of our car. We were driving past each other and apparently he'd said to his other half "Ormally looks completely different - she must be having a baby!"
It took me about 13 weeks to find out, dammit.

I went for reflexology the week after I found out I was pregnant so was probably about 4.5 weeks. She knew straight away and just started talking about it as if I'd told her 😂 it was so strange

Have name changed for this.

I had a dream where I was stood in a room and the phone rang.

I picked up the (old rotary) phone and a voice said 'X is 3 weeks pregnant'

And I woke.

I told X the next day. 3 weeks later to the DAY she had a scan and was told she was 6 weeks pregnant.

Complete surprise pregnancy.

I can do this. I see someone on telly or in the street or a friend and I just know. Apparently my Mum could do it to. I have no clue how or why. Don't believe in it but it is just obvious to me if someone is.

My friend since school text me to say she'd had a really weird dream that I was pregnant.
I was.
I'd been with my partner for 18 years and no previous children so it was completely unexpected!

One of my team at work calledme to tell me she was 8 weeks pregnant. I'd guessed weeks before as she just had a totally different energy about her.

A friend of mine knew I was before I did. Before I took a test.

Pretty sure DH's dog did. He was a definite one-person dog and was quite jealous about me. But a few weeks in I recall he sniffed me all over and then became very very protective and possessive about me. When DS1 was born DDog could not be separated from him.

My mum reckoned she had already known, when I announced my pregnancy. But she always had a rather scant relationship with the truth. Easter Shock

One thing I don't do is say anything to them, it's an awkward position to put someone in isn't it! I always tell my husband which is my equivalent of sealing it in an envelope

I had my DD 17 years ago. I found out officially when I was 11 weeks gone, and only after my male supervisor asked if I was pregnant.

Later I asked him how he knew. He had no idea, just a feeling.

Btw I didn't look pregnant in the slightest, nor did I have any symptoms.

Yes. My dh relative, who I had just met for the first time, knew I was pregnant. I was six or so weeks too.

She told mil her suspicions so mil wasn't surprised when we announced (I didn't mind).

Looking back at my photos from exactly that time I do look a bit different (second) but that distant dh relative didn't really know what my 'normal' look is.

A friend was very confident about the sex of the babies I was pregnant with and she was right both times. She said it was obvious to her.

Yes, my class of 11/12 year olds knew apparently almost immediately. Told me ( didn't even ask!) at 5/6 weeks.

Your pupils do spend a lot of time looking at you so I guess they are as well placed as anyone to spot changes.

Yes a friend suddenly asked me if I was pregnant and I was only about 7 weeks so had told no one, she couldn't have known and I did it to a friend, it was weird I just knew, I just had this feeling and again she was about 6 weeks

As soon as I did my pregnancy test, the gasman turned up to service the boiler. Not sure if he noticed anything strange about my demeanour.

In my late teens I moved away from my hometown. Had no phone. Was away a few weeks and dreamt about a mate who had a child. Was concerned so I went to a phone box, rang her mum's landline, and before I could say 'I dreamt you were at the bus station with a baby who wasn't DC" she blurted out 'Int, I'm pregnant!'

Yeah my friend was the one who told me I was pregnant. I was past the first trimester and had no clue. Genuinely wonder how far I'd have gone if she hadn't suggested I was expecting 😂

Hilariously I started a new job and was sat by colleagues who made it to 5 months and 6 months pregnant without knowing and I was so incredulous. How can you not know?! i said, whilst sat there casually 4 months gone.
