DS is nearly 19.

What do you get your older teens for Easter?

Thank you

An Easter egg 🥚

sunshineandshowers40 · 25/03/2024 22:45

Egg and cash 🐣

TitusMoan · 25/03/2024 22:46

Why cash? It’s not a birthday, it’s not Christmas

Egg and cash 🐣

Do you mind if I ask what sort of amount you give?

Only my friend mentioned giving hers £100 each and I was surprised and now I feel quite mean.

An Easter egg. Easter is not a big deal in our house never has been, nobody has ever got more than an Easter egg.

Swoopy · 25/03/2024 22:48

An Easter egg.

Why would you give them cash?

Needmorelego · 25/03/2024 22:50

@TeacherHarri £100 for Easter?
That's just weird.
A chocolate egg is all that's needed.
Although my almost 16 year old might try and get another mini Jellycat bunny out of me 😂

Theoldwoman · 25/03/2024 22:50

My DD’s still at home, 21 and 22 still get a new pair of pyjamas every Easter and a small amount of chocolate.

Isthisjustnormal · 25/03/2024 22:51

We have an Easter egg hunt, so lots of. Chocolate and little eggs and one or two lager ones. Nothing else. Although actually this year one teen will get a headband and one will get a pair of socks as I happened to see them!

NeverForgetHowStrongYouAre · 25/03/2024 22:51

An Easter egg and a new outfit

Penguinsa · 25/03/2024 22:52

Easter eggs / chocolate and DS eats millions of hot cross buns as well.

Parker231 · 25/03/2024 22:52

Cadbury’s chocolate buttons Easter egg

Librarybooker · 25/03/2024 22:52

Nothing, I don’t buy Easter eggs for grown ups or near grown ups. I might make a Simnel cake and we do have hot cross buns

dutysuite · 25/03/2024 22:53

A couple of eggs. Easy.

ShinyPrettyThings87 · 25/03/2024 22:53

I'm just making some cakes. Lemon drizzle, chocolate concrete and chocolate/mars bar cornflake cakes. They'll have eggs from family so I figure cakes will last them a few days instead of a few hours.

An Easter egg and an adventure!.
You can give other gifts any old time.

Go camping.
Cook an eggy breakfast.
See family; outdoor picnic.
Easter egg hunt with younger relatives.

Attend a Sunrise Service on the beach with a fire.
Sing Lord of the Dance.
My adult kids love to rememeber that, even though they needed coaxing to get up.

NewName24 · 25/03/2024 22:53

Mine don't get anything from us.
Well, we will try and go out for a meal with extended family, and we tend to pay for them, so I suppose you could say "a meal out".

SingingSands · 25/03/2024 22:54

Mine get an Easter egg each - isn't that the point? 😄

TeacherHarri · 25/03/2024 22:55

Thanks all. Feeling a bit better now. I had a moment thinking ai was the mean one.

My children are teens and adults. They all still get lots of eggs and other chocolate from us and some cash. I sometimes by them an item of clothing as well.

GoodVibesHere · 25/03/2024 22:56

An easter egg

NavyPeer · 25/03/2024 22:56

A 19 year old?

an Easter egg

I remember getting cash as a child from my grandparents (with a big egg) but that’s because my pocket money was £1 a week, so Easter was like a bonus week

Your friend gifting an adult £100 for Easter? Absolutely nuts

birthdays/christmas- spoil you DC as much as you want, no matter their age….but Easter is for eggs!

LightSwerve · 25/03/2024 22:57

An Easter egg.

Shock at £100!!
