OMG I want an Easter Bilby 😍

We always had new clothes for good luck at Easter - usually a light jacket or something we needed due to the changing of seasons.

An easter egg and a chocolate bunny, it is our tradition. Left on the table now when they come down for breakfast. We all get a chocolate egg!!!

Same as my younger children. He is 19 and got £5 to choose whatever egg or selection of eggs he wanted for that price.

The only difference is that my other kids will get lots of eggs at the church egg hunt, so I have bought him an extra one which he doesn't know about.

An Easter egg? Mine had an Easter egg each except one dd who had little eggs in a flat box that was letter box sized as being posted

An Easter Egg or some sweets, we’re not religious so it’s not a big deal in our house.

2 of ours are religious but still want chocolate!

My mum always bought us chocolate & a new set of clothes/shoes.
Every celebration for anything was treated like a birthday 🤣
Ive continued it with my children now grandchildren 🫣 so o now buy chocolate and new clothes/shoes for my 3 adult daughters and 3 grandchildren!

We got an Easter egg for Easter and new clothes for whitsuntide, not even a bit religious but that's what happened to my grandparents and my parents then us, mine get a chocolate Easter egg and that's it, ages 11/17/19/21/22/24 I'm mean 😂

I've mentioned it on the "What are your Easter traditions" thread. My nieces still like the way we do their egg hunt, or so they tell us: we blindfold them, and hide their eggs in the garden while they are there, pretending that the Easter Bunny is doing it, while they have a good listen for the bell in his tail, and hear him talk in a squeaky voice. They are teenagers now, but they still ask for this every year!

I just buy the Lidl/ aldi ones now.
I still get my teen an advent calendar for December too.

Eldest SIL is 35 and he is still given a chocolate egg, all of the DC and partners get an egg, just a wee fun thing we've kept going and they're all delighted.

We still do a hunt, they seem to enjoy it and being a kid again for 2 minutes.

We go out for lunch or have a nice lunch at home later in the day. Thats it. No one eats all day thanks to the chocolate intake, so don't go to too much trouble! No cash, no presents. Life is hard enough. I think your teen is trying it on personally and hoping to get a cash windfall 😂

An Easter Egg. When DD was at uni (330 miles) away, she didn't return home for Easter, so we sent her some money for an Easter Egg or treat of her choice.

I'm 33 and my mum gives me and my husband a lindt bunny each for easter, and me and my husband buy eachother easter eggs. You could even get mini eggs or cream eggs or chocolate eggs and spoons (the eggs have chocolate mousse in the middle) or a malteser bunny or kitkat bunny whatever it is. You could make an easter dinner, roast chicken with gravy, roast potatoes, vegetables and yorkshire puddings, and for dessert, ice cream cheesecake, fruit & whipped cream or runny cream.
