Words you dislike

I dislike 'penalised'. I'm not too fond of 'engorged' now I think about it. Anyone else have words they don't like much?

'Normality'-Jeremy Kyle types like to use it.

Bosoms. A character on Call the Midwife was talking about her bosoms. 😱

Ooh yeah bosoms isn't a very nice word. And brassiere, not keen on that either.

Abdomen. Just typing it makes me feel ill.

Bosoms is a great word. I dislike amateur, but only when some nit pronounces it 'ama-chuh'.

I was once very pleased to hear that word! At 13 or 14 - with barely enough to fill a 32 AA bra - I was babysitting a neighbour’s boys of maybe 8 and 10, when the elder suddenly said, ‘Hey!! You’ve got bosoms!’ 😂
