I dislike 'penalised'. I'm not too fond of 'engorged' now I think about it. Anyone else have words they don't like much?

Anything with the word mealy in. Mealy mouthed, mealy bug, mealy spots, Amelia, Emilia...🤢 Such an awful ugly noise.

Sarnie. Awful word.

Russet. Especially when followed by "nipples". I am not enjoying this audiobook I am listening to!

Fag for cigarette. Can’t stand it. I’m an ex-smoker but have never used the word fag, always a cigarette or cig.

posh. Hate the connotations, it’s either used in a sneering inverted snobbery way or in a ‘too good for the likes of us’ way - neither of which sit comfortably with me.

Baffled. It seems to have recently crept into the lexicon and I find it incredibly passive aggressive. Also just sounds dumb.

I HATE the word cheers. I get annoyed every time someone says it.

I also hate willy, pussy, loo, cuppa/brew and lounge. I’m just a miserable woman!

Especially when used instead of thank you.

Tits and titties I hate them. They sound so derogatory to me.

C*nt on the other hand sounds erotic to me and not offensive at all.

Yes!

Maybe that’s why it bothers me so much. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s rude, but why are you saying cheers as a replacement for thank you? I don’t like that at all😂
