Words you dislike

I dislike 'penalised'. I'm not too fond of 'engorged' now I think about it. Anyone else have words they don't like much?

I'd suggest you just put up with it but that's just me.

'Tummy'. Nobody over the age of 6 should be using that word. Ever.

Nowadays - it just irritates me so much (see also, in this day and age. So annoying).

Wanting - as in "I'm wanting recommendations". It just sounds a bit stupid to me.

I also dislike the following words simply because my MIL constantly prounounces them incorrectly so even when I hear the word correctly pronounced, it makes me think of her saying them wrong.

Narwhal (she says Nar-whale)
Upsy Daisy (she says UpsA Daisy)
Specific (she says Pacific)

There are others but these were the most recent irritations.
