@Itsrainingten we all really enjoyed HP studios, despite not being massive fans. It helped we went on a quiet day

Vinted

Gousto

The Uniqlo bag

“who gives a crap” toilet tissue which pretends to be “green” but is actually shipped all the way from China

Botox, we can always tell same as lip filler

Are you me? These were pretty much my first thoughts Smile

Minus Gousto as I haven't tried it, but tried another similar boxed food delivery service and it was overpriced and underwhelming.

This Tory government. Full of liars, cheats and thieves

Amen.

Also barbecues. Never anywhere to sit and you're left standing around juggling plate/glass/cutlery - and risking food poisoning, in some cases. So overrated.

Hermoinestrousers · 20/03/2024 19:07

Center Parcs. The swimming pool is good but everything else is too expensive. If you are an evening out on holiday kind of family then you are out of luck as everyone is back in their lodge by 6pm. We had the bar/restaurant etc pretty much to ourselves. Everyone gives up on their bike after day 1 so its either a massive trek or constantly waiting for the train to get anywhere.

BBQ's. Would be far easier to just cook the sodding burgers in the oven. They'd taste better too. I also wouldn't have to then remind my husband everyday that the bbq still needed cleaning and is likely to just rust away in the summer rain if he doesn't stop just leaving it stood at the end of the garden like a new ornament.

My family really enjoyed the HP Studio tour and we'd happily go again and probably spot things we missed the first time. So much detail and so great to see things as per the film set rather than a dry old museum. We thought it was great. Avoid the butter beer though and steel yourself for the prices of HP merch in the shop.

Agree about Matcha/bubble tea and yoga.

A video they insist on playing to you - unless it's a mutual passion and understanding, IDGAF what it is, I cannot stand having any video, ever, shoved in my face and being forced to watch, laugh despise you.

Yes!!!! This all over, does my fucking head in.

caffelattetogo · 20/03/2024 19:17

The Maldives (rainy and expensive)
Disney/Florida in general (expensive and a bit dull)

Lovelyview · 20/03/2024 19:20

Itsrainingten · 20/03/2024 18:53

Oh no! I'm booked to take the kids to the Harry Potter studio tour 😭. I agree the London eye is shite. Although it was ok in covid times because no overseas visitors meant no queues.

My DD (then 12) & I loved it. Hope you do too.

Nobody raves about this government though, so it doesn't really count.

One hundred stars dressing gowns. Don’t have a loop to hang them up with and don’t have an inside tie.

Justcallmebebes · 20/03/2024 19:30

Letmegetoff · 20/03/2024 18:44

It was just very underwhelming, DD was a huge fan at the time and she wasn't even impressed. Its basically just a museum, there isn't much interactive stuff to do. Just meh

Thanks. Won't bother then for that price
