I'll begin...

ABBA voyage 'concert'
The London Eye
Harry Potter Studios

'Dirty' fries- its chips and heavily processed cheese with a dish that should probably be served with rice,

Gin - why has gin taken over in pubs as the go to spirit? and people top it up with lemonade in big glasses so you can hardly taste the gin

I preferred the sky garden to the London Eye, the views imo were better and the place is free to get into and you can take your time, have a drink and relax

Chocolate cake, its ok but often baked with butter/marg which just isn't right - you need oil for a decent crumb with a chocolate cake. Id rather have an Eccles cake, or a fruit loaf, fruit cake - but then I don't like the fancy fairy cakes you get with mountains of butter icing, I scrape the butter icing away and just eat the sponge but its often dry and not much flavour.

Stanley cups why not use a cup or glass? The obsession with drinking so much fluid is strange

25thCenturyQuaker · 21/03/2024 13:53

The Hot Priest in Fleabag - sorry, he really wasn't that hot.

There. I said it. Let the brickbats fly.

Hamilton
Les Miserables
Greatest Showman

Films during which I have actually fallen asleep when my family wanted to watch them and were adamant that 'You'll love this!'.

I think the only musical I've enjoyed was West Side Story, the proper version from the '60s.

I have seen abba the musical and les miserables live on stage and then on film, whilst I enjoyed very much the stage productions both were so very good, neither transferred to the screen and I found them boring and gave up watching.

ABBA Voyage is absolutely amazing if you’re disabled, as the accessibility is so very good. It’s the first time I could see and hear everything at a concert and wasn’t made to feel awkward in any way!

I hear you, but the point people are making here is that it's not a concert; a concert is real, live, breathing human beings on the stage singing, dancing etc. Not holograms. As I said, might as well watch it on the box at home. 🤷‍♀️

watermelonsugar56 · 21/03/2024 14:01

@25thCenturyQuaker yes!! Really didn’t see it either 😂

mynameismichaelcain · 21/03/2024 14:03

Les Miserables

Urgh yes! The most miserable (see what I did there!) story line with bloody depressing songs. If I wanted to see homeless people in rags singing, I can go down to our town centre at 9pm and see it for free (they sometimes sing after their 12th can of white lightning)

Oh god yes! I had a great sleep through it until DH woke me up for snoring.

Trixiefirecracker · 21/03/2024 14:04

Can not actually believe someone said Scotland! 🤣 The while of it or a specific part? The west coast of Scotland is one of the most beautiful places with beaches like the Carribean, if you get a good day and best of all they are mostly empty…so yes, actually you can say Scotland..absolute dump.

the80sweregreat · 21/03/2024 14:04

I wouldn't pay to watch avatars.
If Abba cba to actually show up and do a proper old school concert then I wouldn't bother with paying to see them still pretending to be young

OssieShowman · 20/03/2024 23:40

CORIANDER / cilantro. Should be banned

Absolutely!

I'm Mexican and it is assumed that EVERYONE and especially ALL Mexicans love it. Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! It's truly horrible!

My lovely family will invite me for dinner and I will notice them chopping up the bastard leaves into teeny tiny pieces and put it into all the food and then throw a f*ton of it as garnish. I'm always grateful for food so I put what looks like a bush of cilantro to the side of the plate and eat the food despite it not tasting good to me.

I thought I got away from the cilantro and gravitated towards Indian and Asian dishes. Yeah, they do that too.

I'm with you @OssieShowman, It needs to simply be banned!

ILookAtTheFloor · 21/03/2024 14:10

Mayonnaise, ranch sauce, cream. Milk.

The description 'creamy' about any food, I'd steer clear of. Don't like cream/milk.

caffelattetogo · 21/03/2024 13:10

David Bowie

I've literally just gasped and I am fanning myself!

I refuse to accept that. Just no.

😝

Begsthequestion · 21/03/2024 11:39

I'm sorry you've had such awful experiences of tea and coffee.

I've never drunk anything like you describe though.

Was it made for you by an alien, or a frenemy, or a member of the Campaign Against Hot Drinks, perhaps?

You're allowed to make it for yourself btw, in the way you prefer.

Many years ago, as a student on community, I had some horrors offered to me in people's homes. Ftr, I take my tea to be hot, (I warm the milk beforehand so it doesn't cool it too much) fairly strong, with skimmed milk and a scant teaspoon of sugar. This would be translated into barely warm, weak tea, with a quarter of a mug of fridge cold full cream milk, and a heaped teaspoonful of sugar. 🤮

AntonFeckoff · 21/03/2024 14:11

@elp30 I bloody love coriander.

KStockHERO · 21/03/2024 14:14

Men

MarkWithaC · 21/03/2024 14:16

I love coriander, olives, my tattoo, New Year's Day and lots of others here! I still love Strictly too, even though the levels of gushing/crying/'journeys' long ago went through the stratosphere.

What is baffling me at the moment is Hannah Thingy: Home for Christmas. Nominated for a BAFTA. I mean who the actual jeff is she?

Also, asparagus. I don't think it's shite per se, and if someone serves it to me I'll eat it, but the wanging on about the 'season' and how much they're looking forward to it and how wonderful it is ... Confused
I'd much rather have purple sprouting broccoli, Tenderstem or green beans.

marshmallowfinder · 21/03/2024 14:17

Bloody bright sunshine and accompanying heat and insects.🥵

Any “doodle” dog expensive mongrel, all of whom look like beige mops in varying sizes
Nandos
Prosecco
London
UK Holidays
Tiktok
Instagram
Car boot sales
Avocado
Bell peppers
Video calls
All “Bully” breed dogs
Being bloody “nonbinary” just because you’re not a walking stereotype

UK holidays 100%.

There's a thread on here every week about some poor sucker hiring an 'upmarket, lux' cottage for a mere £5k a week (off peak) which turns out to be rat-infested, mouldy, filthy hellhole, 15 miles from the nearest (garage) Spar and 20 miles from the nearest (over-priced, over-crowded) attraction.

I'd rather not go on holiday again than go to a UK airbnb or hotel. Thank god I'm old and have lived/travelled all over the country so have no yearning to do the Cotswolds or the Lakes or fucking CORNWALL ever again in my life.

DannyLovesFanny · 21/03/2024 14:19

Broccoli. I'd rather play duck apple in a Glastonbury toilet than eat that.

I actually agree the whole thing is very depressing

Warm milk. In tea. TEA.

That comet that's going to wipe us out can't come too soon if this is where we've got to as a species.

Don't tell me you microwave it, my nervous system couldn't take it.

BlueBadgeHolder · 21/03/2024 14:27

Les Miserables is wonderful
