Blueberry muffins - so sickly sweet, fit only for the bin - or the bird table.

DannyLovesFanny · 21/03/2024 12:54

Love Island
The Kardashians
TOWIE
Real Housewives
Geordie Shore

All of them (and more) are brain-dead TV for the terminally thick.

the80sweregreat · 21/03/2024 12:54

Totally found my people regarding bbq's
Nasty , flies everywhere , lugging food around and trying to keep it away from the flies
Having to check if it's cooked enough all the time. Or pre cooking it all.. it's just faff

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 21/03/2024 12:55

Beyoncé (sorry).

CactusMactus · 21/03/2024 12:55

As opposed to the squeaky clean Labour party!

Herbal/fruit teas, yuck
Netflix
Amazon Prime, because you're paying an inflated price for 'free' delivery
Internet shopping in general
Juliette balconies (not sure if people rave about these or not but I see lots of them so assume they're popular for a reason. What's the fucking point, it just turns a window into a hazard for pets).
SUVs

mrlistersgelfbride · 21/03/2024 12:59

McDonald's
Ed Sheeran
Downton Abbey and other period dramas
Jason Momoa

Also agree with Mona Lisa

Me too, it's one of the most underwhelming overhyped things I've ever seen.

As opposed to the squeaky clean Labour party!

As has been proven over and over and yet still people are loving off the shafting.

Yes, I understand that recently boiled water is hot. And that given a couple a minutes, it cools down enough to drink. Weirdly it's never posed such a challenge for me.
I also enjoy hot foods as well, without scalding my mouth. Since childhood in fact! I think that's quite common.

Are you completely missing the point of this thread?

You can continue rave as much as you want lol, you are literally just proving my point.

Starbucks

Absolutely - their coffee is utter bilge and tastes like it's had a dead dog steeping in it.

oakleaffy · 21/03/2024 13:07

Wheatgrass.
Going back years now, but had a shot of it, just one sip made me heave - like drinking grass clippings stuck underneath a mower.

Vile.

Me too. Take portraits painted by Velazquez. My favourite. I saw Mona Lisa back in 1990-1, I didn´t realise I was in the room where this picture was. Suddenly I saw some Japanese standing in front of a picture and when they departed there was this small, dark, mangy looking portrait and I was aghast when I saw it was the Mona Lisa!. Biggest disappointment ever. I was 16-17 so quite critical. Didn´t have to pretend being overwhelmed and so intellectual.

@Katiesaidthat If you like Velasquez have you read The Vanishing Man by Laura Cumming? it's about the painter and the search for a missing work of his.

Theme parks
Water parks
Big hotels, even 5* ones
Wild swimming
National Trust
Chocolate cake
Zumba

I love the Maldives and Matilda though

Omg I went to a water park for the first time last year and I loved it! I did get a pass which skipped the long queues though so maybe that helped. Got to say I used to be anti all inclusive holidays but again did one last year and loved it! It was at a relaxing adults only resort which was 👌

Scotland
Fake nails

Orange fake tan

Agree with Holy Island by LJ Ross. I like a good crime fiction but no idea why anyone liked this.

Oh I love the LJ Ross series of which Holy Island is the first, it's not until much later in the series that the reasons he was on Holy Island comes clear.

I was very underwhelmed with going up in a hot air balloon in Egypt, not sure what I expected, I'm a bit of a white knuckle ride fan, but it was just like standing by an open window.

caffelattetogo · 21/03/2024 13:09

BMWs, Audis and Mercs. The vast majority are driven by pretentious nobheads and sheep who can't think for themselves and who mistakenly think they're driving something special, oblivious to the fact that they're so bloody common.
