People. Most are ghastly. 😎

Joined up handwriting?

That seems quite a niche dislike there..😂

I get it. My DD at primary could not master joined up writing and could not get her pen licence because of it. She is now about to do her GCSE's and writes perfectly neatly but still not joined up, I don't get why primary schools make such a fuss about it when high schools don't care at all

I love almost everything that has been mentioned. Granted have never been to the Maldives but in 18 years when the kids are grown and supporting themselves, who knows!

Zanatdy · 20/03/2024 21:23

Love west end musicals, loved Abba Voyage. Guess it depends on people’s interests, only going to enjoy a west end show if you like live theatre. Many don’t.

Beth Sandland 'parenting' profile on Instagram. So many gushy comments on the profile but so fake. It's nauseating

Biscoff anything. I just don’t get the fuss 🤷🏻‍♀️

Surely it’s so much quicker to write joined up? I don’t see how it matters in the grand scale but it’s faster so is convenient.

I noticed this today as my DD has a big white board in her room which she uses for her GCsE revision, never noticed before as don’t see her handwriting much these days but DD doesn’t join her handwriting. DS2 who is 19 does, wonder if difference in teaching methods. DS2’s handwriting is terrible so at least DD’s is legible and no concern over them understanding it to mark it!

I actually agree with pretty much all of these apart from afternoon tea and Chris moyles. I fucking love a tiny sandwich and I’ve listened to Chris Moyles for about 25 years.

i can break a dyson within weeks of ownership becaus of dds hair. I don’t believe the shark hair wrap would work.
Musicals, dh loves them. I just can’t get over the cringe.
Am dram. Oh my. It’s just an audience of friends dragged along because they have to.
cats. Fuck wits and I say that as a servant of one
labradoodles. Even the creator regrets it. What happened to mixed breeds, good sturdy, healthy mixed breeds? Instead they give them a name and charge a fortune. The oodles started it. So I’m blaming them.

Tattletwat · 20/03/2024 21:28

Not sure if already mentioned, afternoon tea.

Some wanky sandwiches and cakes.

Give me a proper dinner and dessert.

@LovelyTheresa

What is Basque Cheesecake?

A very dense, heavy, crustless cheesecake. It has been the 'in' dessert for a few years. Maybe I have just been unlucky in the ones I've tried, but I don't get the hype. Give me a naff, bog standard Sainsbury's blueberry cheesecake any day.

I am only a few hours from The Maldives. Most islands are beautiful but there is very little to do. After three days of snorkeling it can get rather dull. If you can afford really top end with total privacy it’s great for a few days but most resorts are not as fancy as they make out.

It’s a long way from the UK for a place that really only merits a few days. No idea how people stay two weeks.

Dubai
Dogs
Wine
Primark - used to be reasonably priced but prices have just gone up and up so not worth it anymore

Noooo your wrong on that and I won’t hear otherwise.

Agreed, although I do love a Devonshire cream tea. However, I don't want sandwiches and cake as well! If I want a cream scone (or two!) then that's what I want to focus on. I am not a huge fan of cold sandwiches at the best of times, and cake is cake and should be eaten in splendid isolation.

High heels. I know I'm probably alone. But Hugh heels.

MrsEllenGriswold · 20/03/2024 21:32

Chocolate flavoured things that aren’t just slabs of chocolate. Eg chocolate cake, biscuits. Actual chocolate is always better.

Dressing gowns
Really impractical, get in the way. Hoodies work much better
I suspect I’ll be shouted down though!

A video they insist on playing to you - unless it's a mutual passion and understanding, IDGAF what it is, I cannot stand having any video, ever, shoved in my face and being forced to watch, laugh despise you.

100% this. I hate all internet videos.

Laboheme78 · 20/03/2024 21:35

Wuthering heights. Heathcliff is an absolute brute, there are puppies being murdered at every turn and the heroine is unhinged. How do so many people think it’s a great book?! 😂
