I'm getting a coil put in by my GP tomorrow and have terrified myself by reading all the horror stories so can we please have a thread of positive stories?
I'd love to hear from people who've had it inserted without any problems. Entirely uneventful accounts would be nice 😊

I’ve had one (well several!) since 1999!

I had it removed to try for a baby and got pregnant immediately, then had another inserted at 6 week post birth check.

Now using it as part of HRT, along with patches.

Another positive insertion story from me, barely any discomfort (and I was tense and nervous) and just a bit crampy for a few days after.
I had it put in just over a month ago though and I'm still getting annoying spotting. TMI but like brown mucousy stuff, occasional bits of bright red bleeding. Just requiring a pantyliner but very annoying When will this stop?

Also, been having a few horrible headaches-almost migraine last week or so following first period and now horrible vertigo. That's not likely to be the Mirena, is it?
