I love these threads.

DS and I have just returned from swimming lessons. DH has made a lovely minted lamb hotpot. Dog has been walked and I've managed to wash all the bedding and get it line dried, so looking forward to putting that on. Gladiators after tea, then sorting uniform for the morning. Showers all round, glass of rose and the last episode of True Detective Night Country once DS is in bed.

Watching Man United.

Barrenfieldoffucks · 17/03/2024 17:46

We have had a busy weekend, and today was no different. All went to the leisure centre late morning, DD and DS1 went to the gym, I took DS2 swimming. DH then arrived and played badminton with ds1 while DS2 and I took DD to a rowing training day. We waited there for DH and DS1 to join us. Met some friends and had a walk along the river, which was super muddy 😬

Drink at the pub when we got back, watching the row boats and trying to spot DD from a distance.

Now at home, DH is watching David Attenborough, both sons are playing on Xbox. I'm pottering in kitchen cooking a big kebab thing as an alternative roast. Will need to pick up DD at 7 and then Sunday night baths etc etc.

Moonshine5 · 17/03/2024 17:50

For the first time in months, nada.
Sofa and hilarious book (Is this anything - JS)

Bliss

PandaG · 17/03/2024 17:50

Church this morning, friends from church round for lunch after the service. Adult DS currently trying to fix an expensive part on the bike he built himself in my kitchen, I'm sitting in the front room about to contemplate dinner

familyissues12345 · 17/03/2024 17:51

Watching Escape to the country. We love that programme and just happened to have chosen an episode where the people moving currently (or have just moved from) 5 min walk from our house! Very weird!

Other than that, we'll cook dinner and probably sit down to something on Netflix. I've just started a new job that gives me Mondays off, so lovely to not have that Sunday evening feeling!

Alwaystired2023 · 17/03/2024 17:52

Hungover partner in bed and me and DC just had dinner, going to do bedtime shortly and then find a nice action film to watch on netflix

LydiaPoet · 17/03/2024 17:54

Been swimming this afternoon and had a nice shower there. Son is in the shower, daughter doing EPQ, curled up with my dogs and just about to snooze for 30 mins

frozendaisy · 17/03/2024 17:56

Football in one room
Online gaming in another
Cooking roast in another
Kitchen cleared as I went along, just catching up with weekend newspaper whilst vegetables roast.
School uniform ready, bags packed

Shortly roast dinner, glass of red wine, debate/chat around the table.

Ice cream medley with TV a bit later either Elementary or The Gentlemen series, let the teens pick.

HollyGolightly4 · 17/03/2024 17:56

@VelmaVenkman sounds wonderful but just an FYI there is no new episode of gladiators! It wasn't on due to the football yesterday, which we're most put out about in this house!

Today is a quiet one- we've had Sunday lunch at MILs and husband has gone to the pub to watch the football with his brothers. We've been chilling and reading in blissful peace!

CeriB82 · 17/03/2024 17:56

DH and kids watching football. Im cooking a beef roast. Typical extra time!

sunday is always a roast dinner

frozendaisy · 17/03/2024 17:58

Also trying to time a roast but the end of the match is presently "unspecified" 😀

gingercat02 · 17/03/2024 17:59

DS is out watching Man U Liverpool at a friend's.
DH has been for a run and is gaming.
I'm watching One Day on Netflix
Takeaway for tea and a couple of glasses of wine as I'm off work tomorrow. No Sunday/Monday blues tonight 😆

CommeIlFaut · 17/03/2024 17:59

Happy Sunday evening everyone! It’s feeling a bit nippy here, now the sun has gone down.

My autistic DD15 is doing an assembly about neurodiversity to the whole school tomorrow. So we will be perfecting her PowerPoint. I’m so proud of her!

DH and DS are off to the driving range for an hour, and will probably do some gaming together.

DH and I are then firing up the laptop to book flights and accommodation for our family summer holiday in the Rockies. There’s been a lot of discussion and planning, we now need to get it sorted unless we want to sleep in a bus shelter in Whistler.

We had GPs over for Sunday lunch, so tonight it’s ’anything you like, as long as it’s cheese on toast’ before showers, pyjamas and an episode of Death in Paradise.

ssd · 17/03/2024 17:59

I've just been out a long walk by myself

Dh watching football ALL DAY

scoopoftheday · 17/03/2024 18:01

House cleaned today, no work tomorrow.

Dh, ds and dd out bringing in the animals (lambing time here) and I'm making a roast chicken dinner and enjoying a glass of wine.

Ds is heading out with his friends for St Patrick's night and dd is heading back to her own house after dinner.

Dh will no doubt be in and out all evening with the lambing sheep.

Femalefootyfan · 17/03/2024 18:02

The football is on, I’m half watching & DH is refereeing and is a co-commentator 😂 We had a late lunch/early dinner so will have picky stuff later whilst watching Celeb Bake Off, been quite a lazy day

KalaMush · 17/03/2024 18:03

DS1 and DS2 are watching the football. DD and DH have gone swimming. I'm on the sofa reading and Mumsnetting. We had a roast lunch so will just be a snacky supper.

Harrysmummy246 · 17/03/2024 18:05

Lie in (8am), walked dogs, drove to Chester to rowing race, drove back, husband just making stir fry. Knackered

Minikievs · 17/03/2024 18:06

@VelmaVenkman There's no Gladiators on this weekend! It got pulled because of the football. I think it's back next weekend.

Here, it's an evening of Netflix, showers, clean pjs, early nights ready for school / work tomorrow. A nice chilled evening.

Bluevelvetsofa · 17/03/2024 18:08

There’s been some housework, some washing, a not too muddy walk round the lake, DH has cleaned the oven and washed the floors. I’m going to pick up my knitting in a minute and we’ll have dinner a bit later.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 17/03/2024 18:09

Been a very lazy day today. Dropped my son at the rugby club so he could pick his car up after leaving it there to have a drink, my daughter and I then did a spot of shopping in town. Cooked a roast chicken for lunch and now I’m lazing in bed after a nice bath whilst my husband is doing god knows what in his room, I think I can hear 80’s computer games music. Son has gone to work, daughter is reading in her room.

pinksheetss · 17/03/2024 18:09

Another one with a hungover partner

Me and DD got up, drove for a bit and got our old car sold, picked up hungover partner then back home

Me and DD went to the park, then round to parents house for a bit
Home, dog walk, tidy round house
DD and DP had a late nap on the sofa together
Some random things thrown together for supper
Currently on sofa watching Cinderella with DD then will be bath and bed time
Think we'll all go up to bed, cuddle up

Bugbeau · 17/03/2024 18:09

Just had shepherds pie for dinner. DH is feeling under the weather and has been coaching rugby all day so he’s gone for a lie down. Kids are watching Shrek the musical for the millionth time and giggling away. I’m about to go for a shower and then tackle the Sunday evening bath/hair wash marathon.

effoffwind · 17/03/2024 18:10

Just had a really satisfying shower where I managed a hair mask , full body exfoliation , a bit of defuzzing of the old legs ... and a thorough scrub of the inside of the shower cabinet ( outside done this morning )

All house cleaned
Washing dried , ironed and put away
Overnight oats in fridge for tomorrow

Hoping for an early night and my kindle till I fall asleep

Boring but peaceful, suits me fine
