Really devastated I have broken a piggy bank I brought in a charity shop, really beautiful and unique can't find another anywhere. And only just found online there are ceramic repairs, to late as I put it in the bin. More devastated now ive put it in the bin. I dont know what I want out of this thread but just to talk and make me feel better I'm heartbroken 💔 sorry if you all think I'm mad!!😭

Yes I have. I had been clearing my late mum’s home and found a very large mug that I always used as a child. It was the size of a small bowl that I would eat my cereal from. It was mustard yellow with whales on it. I was driving home with a box of things when someone ran a red light causing me to brake hard. The box overturned and the mug fell out and smashed on the metal seat rail. I cried a lot when I got home and still feel sad about it so I don’t think you’re mad. I’m sorry about your piggy bank. It may be worth putting a picture on here if you have one, someone might have one they don’t want.

Yes I found two beautiful wine glasses in my local charity shop, so pretty with ribbed glass and pearlescent finish. I knocked one of the table last week and the stem broke but the glass is perfectly in tact but no way of fixing. I was so annoyed at myself for days, silly I know but they were so pretty. At least I have one left.

Yes, I was in Venice and went to Murano, bought my Italian loving friend a BEAUTIFUL Christmas bauble, absolutely stunning, I was so excited to give it to her the next day when I flew to where she was in Italy. Got back to the hotel, wanted to take another peek and dropped it on the floor. I was heartbroken! And never told her I bought it!

@NatWestPigFamily thanks for your reply and sharing your story that must have been hard for you especially as its sentimental to you. I'm devastated, as it was really unique and I can't do anything now as its long gone in the bin. Wish I kept hold of it to be restored. But to late. Ive found a pic online of it here as follows

Yes, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and my hands are really bad sometimes.

My youngest bought me a Mr Men mug (Mr Perfect!! 🤣) and I dropped it, I was devastated.

He said to me not to worry, as I couldn't help it. I was even more upset after that.

If someone has one they no longer want please let me know id be forever grateful

@IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece dd went to Venice recently and bought me back a lovely wine stopper with the beautiful Murano glass - only when I went to use it for the first time I discovered it had been broken in the drawer!
I was mainly cross with myself for putting it there, she’s a student and went on this trip on a shoestring budget and was so thoughtful to bring it back for us in her tiny amount of hand luggage only baggage allowance only for someone to be careless enough to break it in the drawer.

Yep. Just last week I broke my fiancé's favourite personalised mug that he drank out of all the time. It's been discontinued and I can't find it everywhere. I am a bad girlfriend.

I got my daughter a babies 1st Christmas glass bauble from mamas and papas and one Christmas while hung in the tree I tapped it with the hoover and it broke. I was devastated.
I have also got a similar one for my son, however I never hang it on the tree for fear of the same happening.

Clearing my dad's house I found my old rabbit plate. Its a real.80s item and unique. Put it in the cupboard with my others then found a large crack through it. Must have happened when i put other plates on it. Really upset me.

DH has a big jade sculpture that his Great Uncle bought in Singapore. It's about the size of a jack russel if the jack russell was seated on a plinth. I was showing it to DS1 and dropped it and little shard chipped off. TBF you can't really tell as it was so large, but I feel so awful about it.

A trifle bowl that my grandma gave me that had been her mother's. We moved house and the base of the box it was in gave way and it fell out and smashed on the pavement.
