I imagine the boards will be quiet for most of today but I need a distraction and chatter.

So what was the last non-essential thing you bought?

For me it was the 2023 Barbie film on dvd

Expensive skincare. It's my new(ish) vice because it's improved my skin so much.

OuiLaLa · 10/03/2024 15:40

Estée Lauder Daywear face cream and bumble and bumble hair repair.

i spend thousands on my skincare (but do have good skin). So that is my overall biggest expense probably.

merryhouse · 10/03/2024 15:41

a pinkypurple hoodie for casual and a dusky pink cardigan to add to the work pile. £4 each from the charity shop.

Before that I think it was chips Grin

Two tops in a colourway I’m experimenting with for Spring.

Genuine question because I keep seeing 'colourway' on insta fashion accounts. Does it just mean the same top but in different colours? And why is isn't it just advertised as 'comes in different colours'? I feel like I never used to see the phrase colourway but I could be wrong! Thanks!

Cornishbelle · 10/03/2024 15:42

Got my nipples pierced on Friday! Definitely non essential but am very happy with them!

MotherWol · 10/03/2024 15:42

Some craft paper and glittery glue for DD so she could make me a Mother’s Day card, and the chocolates to go with it

Londonvisit2024 · 10/03/2024 15:43

I bought DC a beautiful bookcase earlier on. My oldest has asd so finds a lot of things challenging but absolutely loves reading and gets through books so quickly. I'm really proud of him because the rest of the boys in his class are really sporty and he will never be as good as them at sport but is top of the class for reading.

clpsmum · 10/03/2024 15:44

A dress that's too small and not as nice as it is on website but can't return as my dc threw out the packaging when helping me by tidying up 🤦‍♀️

shellyleppard · 10/03/2024 15:45

A big lego set (9 different flowers) for myself for my birthday 🎉😁

Matching hoodies for me and my dog ready for camping season!

We absolutely need pics 😍

Brigger · 10/03/2024 15:05

A carriage for my horse!

Oh my, how exciting. Do you drive already or is this a new thing?

UnravellingTheWorld · 10/03/2024 15:48

600g of yarn which has a wool content of 55%. Currently sitting under a half-finished jumper and I regret nothing. Can't wait to wear it when it's done!

I bought a book on coding (for beginners). I haven't opened it yet cos I'm scared I can't do it 🙄😂

SirenSays · 10/03/2024 15:49

Silk kimono. Mac lipstick. Easter cocktail spirits.

Loafbeginsat60 · 10/03/2024 15:49

A mac red lipstick that goes pink after an hour. Not impressed

Oh wow, that looks gorgeous 🥰 do you just knit for yourself or do you have a business selling your knitwear?

SplodgeOfCustard · 10/03/2024 15:52

2 dvds from CEX (Ja'mie Private School Girl and Jonah from Tonga). I felt like watching some old comedy shows.

Also 3 months subscription to Disney Plus.

Harrysmummy246 · 10/03/2024 15:54

Flowers for myself when I eventually finished work yesterday (helping with said flowers).
Potato cakes

BresciaBike · 10/03/2024 15:54

@PickAChew your post discussing your dislike of "wadding" and "moist" being sandwiched between @FawnFrenchieMum 's duplicate posts about lube is making me laugh

Thank you! I just do it as a hobby, but I love making jumpers and I love shopping for yarn 🧶🧶🧶 As I have a toddler I thought it was important to have a hobby that doesn't involve a screen!

AsTheyPulledYouOutOfTheOxygenTent · 10/03/2024 15:56

Not counting food/coffee, a copy of Saturday's Guardian.

You have a talent for it.

My mum knits really well but she hasn't passed that particular gift to me 🤣

Davros · 10/03/2024 16:02

A new kettle. The old one cut out unless it was in exactly the right position. I could have soldiered on but...
Bird seed (the birds may not agree it's non essential)
A bag of Rashers from M&S

NeedthatFridayfeeling · 10/03/2024 16:04

More nail wraps, i'm hooked on them 😃

Beezknees · 10/03/2024 16:14

A box of hair dye. Got a smudge on my chest where it dripped!
