Mosaic Portrait - Experian Consumer Information Portal (experianmarketingservices.digital)

Over 150 different segments. Apparently I live in a budget generation area.
So many to choose from.
They then sell this data to marketing companies to do what they want with it.

I've looked at mine, my parents and I'm laws. I'd say mine was ok for my neighbours but not me, same for my parents but in laws are fairly accurate.

FijiSea · 06/03/2024 23:21

I just tried again and got down to earth home owners 😆
We are not aging …

bloodyBorat · 06/03/2024 23:23

Scattered homesteads. Pretty accurate!

richardhoymanwantshisknickersback · 06/03/2024 23:23

Affordable Fringe. About half right and half mince.

Cafes and Catchments. About right!

Same here. Not many cafes near actually.

Cornishclio · 06/03/2024 23:23

Mid Career Convention. Professional couples with children apparently. 20 years ago maybe.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 06/03/2024 23:23

Uptown Elite probably not far off

MsFaversham · 06/03/2024 23:24

Metro high flyers, 20 and 30 somethings renting expensive apartments in highly commutable areas of major cities.

Nowhere near my age group and nothing like my area apart from the highly commutable bit, which would be true of large parts of most cities.

BoohooWoohoo · 06/03/2024 23:24

Modern Parents
Pretty accurate for the area but I’m not even in a couple so buck the trends

Spacie · 06/03/2024 23:24

I got Alpha Families! But bizarrely the (identical) opposite side of the road is Diamond Days. I guess the AFs turn into DDs when they retire.

Zoflorabore · 06/03/2024 23:25

i got “families on a budget” sounds perfectly accurate.

also likely to have a pet rabbit 🤣

Ohyeahwaitaminute · 06/03/2024 23:26

Wealthy Landowners

My arse…🤣

PurpleCar02 · 06/03/2024 23:26

Modern Parents, it’s pretty accurate for us, apart from the rabbit.

Multipleexclamationmarks · 06/03/2024 23:27

Bungalow Heaven.

Pretty accurate (mostly dormas though) although we're young in our 50s.
Broadband is definitely shit.

"Sorry, we are unable to process your request"

It doesn’t like lower case letters.

BarbieDangerous · 06/03/2024 23:31

City Diversity
Households renting social flats in busy city suburbs whore many nationalties live as neighbours

Based in SW London and living in a council block. I’d say this is about right🤣

Mumoftwo1312 · 06/03/2024 23:36

We got City Diversity which isn't quite right (but we live next to a big council estate and I think it thinks we live in it).

However, I did chuckle because this is indeed exactly what my dh looks like, I think he was even wearing this outfit today

lastchancesalmon · 06/03/2024 23:37

Wealthy Landowner - pretty accurate especially with ages and shopping habits etc. I guess owing the land is wealth in itself but it doesn't show how mortgaged it is! What made me smile though is we share a postcode with some new build affordable housing with tiny gardens down the road so it shows how postcodes can be pretty variable.

mondaytosunday · 06/03/2024 23:37

Uptown Elite. Pretty accurate except for the five holidays a year (who does that?) and the five bed house - more like a three bed terrace!

Unexpecteddrivinginstructor · 06/03/2024 23:37

Lifeinlists · 06/03/2024 23:06

Cafes and Catchments.
Well the cafes are decidedly dodgy and you wouldn't catch me in any of them!
No idea what catchments is supposed to mean.

I am guessing families with young children concerned about being in the right school catchment.

Mumoftwo1312 · 06/03/2024 23:37

Browsing through the options I think we're more Cafes and Catchments in terms of the size of our house and preferred supermarkets etc

NahNeedsGarlic · 06/03/2024 23:45

‘Please enter a valid postcode’
😂
I don’t think it wants to acknowledge us.

commonground · 06/03/2024 23:46

Ha, 'Penthouse Chic', which sounds like some kind of glitzy reality show. But I'll take it!

Empty-Nest Adventure:

Mature couples in comfortable detached houses who have the means to enjoy their empty-nest

Bang on here.

Me too and quite accurate, tho some young blood has moved in recently 😂

WelcomeMarchwithwintrywind · 06/03/2024 23:51

That was entertaining.

Our current house - wrong for us, and few descriptors fit our neighbours.
Our last house (valued when we moved 20 ago (and also now) at half that of our current house) - wrong, but quite accurate for us now.
DS’s house - some parts correct, but I don’t know much about their neighbours
DD1’s house - mostly wrong, don’t know about their neighbours.
DD2’s house - described as mortgaged detached, when it’s two facing rows of terraced houses, at least some of which are LA rented.

I’ve also put in the postcode of our local private school, not in London. There are no houses in that postcode. It says “World class wealth, global high flyers living luxurious lifestyles in London’s most exclusive boroughs.”

Edit: on reflection, there are houses in the school as it’s a boarding school. The students live in houses (of up to ?60 students) and the staff have houses or flats attached to or within that accommodation. Not luxurious ones, though. 😉
