Mosaic Portrait - Experian Consumer Information Portal (experianmarketingservices.digital)

Over 150 different segments. Apparently I live in a budget generation area.
So many to choose from.
They then sell this data to marketing companies to do what they want with it.

Scattered homesteads - older households appreciating rural calm in standalone houses with agricultural landscapes.

😂This sums up literally exactly where we live, though if by 'older households' they mean 'older people' it's just us and a holiday let and we aren't older, but it absolutely sums up the area around us.

Goneforaride · 07/03/2024 09:51

Village Retirement .... absolutely spot on for us! Pretty accurate all round for our lifestyle and location, except for the "holidays" section ..... Wouldn't be seen dead on a cruise, but otherwise ...........

Patrickiscrazy · 07/03/2024 09:52

Ufff.... Diamond days.😁
Obviously thanks to my husband of 20 years.

PlasticineKing · 07/03/2024 09:53

Contemporary starts.

Partly right, but the town as a whole is a real mix of quite affluent, climbing/starting out and real deprivation.

BigSkies2022 · 07/03/2024 09:55

Dunno if it's Mumsnet crashing the site, but I have put in two different postcodes (mine and DPs) and Experian can't process either! But I will try again later (and send it to mates - we're all agog!) Thanks, OP. I might annoy my neighbours in the WhatsApp group as well! Snorfle.

Tdcp · 07/03/2024 09:55

" Budget generations" .. tbf it's pretty accurate.

Lemonyyy · 07/03/2024 09:56

Primary ambitions. It was disconcertingly accurate. Ditto my parents’ postcode, which came up as “bank of mum and dad” 😂

Timeisallwehave · 07/03/2024 09:58

Premium Fortunes, asset-rich families with substantial income, distinctive expansive homes, in wealth enclaves

piealhxiprshl · 07/03/2024 10:01

So my postcode says "contemporary starters" suggests high numbers of people shopping in Waitrose, have degrees and high incomes. I live in a working class town that doesn't even have a Waitrose! Albeit, probably the best area of said town.

cadburyegg · 07/03/2024 10:03

Modern parents: busy couples in modern detached homes juggling the demands of school age children and careers.

It's pretty accurate for the area and us apart from the fact I'm a single parent!

Bluevelvetsofa · 07/03/2024 10:09

First rung futures.

Apart from shopping in Aldi, it’s about as wrong as it could be.

mateysmum · 07/03/2024 10:32

Wealthy Landowners

and my son is Penthouse Chic

Both sound posh

Myotheripodisayoto · 07/03/2024 10:43

Diamond days but should be alpha families imho. The demographic in our road has shifted a lot (elderly replaced by families) in the last two years so its probably old data.

TonTonMacoute · 07/03/2024 10:44

Scattered Homesteads - has a ring of Little House on the Prairie about it.

Goforitagain · 07/03/2024 10:47

DS rents a city centre flat and his is 'Central Pulse'

OolongTeaDrinker · 07/03/2024 11:04

Cafes and Catchments. Sounds about right!

TheHangryAzureBird · 07/03/2024 11:10

FijiSea · 06/03/2024 23:15

Tried my Scottish post code it doesn’t recognize 🙄

Did you use capital letters?

Thatladdo · 07/03/2024 11:12

Rural Vogue
But without the long commute

cornflakecrunchie · 07/03/2024 11:17

Midlife Renters - nope, my own house, but I can see it might be accurate for some round here. No 'vocational' qualifications, but am grateful they only think I'm middle aged. Not impressed that they think I shop at Aldi & Lidl, or that I'm a low contributor to charities!

luxuria84 · 07/03/2024 11:28

Uptown Elite 😎

Klingfilm · 07/03/2024 11:30

Cafes and Catchments. About right!

Ooh me too, the description is spot on haha

museumum · 07/03/2024 11:31

Diamond Days. Not a surprise, we are one of a very few young families - all the other homes are much much older people. It makes for a lovely quiet area with very nice gardens :)

pinkspeakers · 07/03/2024 11:32

Diamond Days.

We're not quite in that category yet (a little too young). But it's not wrong tbh

WinchSparkle80 · 07/03/2024 11:33

Alpha Families 🤣🤣🤣 3-4 holidays a year? don’t know anyone around here who manages that 🤔 we sound like knobheads

TheDandyLion · 07/03/2024 11:38

Outlying Seniors. Pensioners living in inexpensive housing in out of the way locations.

Absolutly correct about the area but not me and is exactly why we need to leave.
