Just as the title says really.

If you have any plans for next Sunday which is Mothering Sunday what are they, I'm just being noisy and lacking in inspiration.

What ever your plans hope everyone has a lovely time.

DH getting the kids up for church (I'll go too) then harvester for lunch and walk or movie depending on how we feel. Will have seen MIL the day before as joint birthday/early MD celebration and as mine is dead I do like a bit of spoiling on the actual day.

Treating myself to a takeaway! It's just me and the child and she's only 5.

countdowntomexico · 03/03/2024 17:32

Cooking a roast lunch for DS6 and DPs. DM is making the sticky toffee pudding Grin

My DH & DD are taking me to see the red kites being fed in North Wales, really looking forward to it.

Nothing as I've been forgotten :(

It’s also my birthday! DH is working, so me, DD and DM are going for lunch and a girlie shopping day.

Seeline · 03/03/2024 17:35

My mum is going to my sister's (first time in years!).
Both my DCs are at uni so going to enjoy watching the rugby 😁

Favouritefruits · 03/03/2024 17:35

The kids will prob get me a nice card and a new candle then I’ll take the kids out to do something kid friendly like the local pool. I have got a DH but he’s pretty useless at …. Life

frozendaisy · 03/03/2024 17:35

Being dragged out to lunch, there is no escape, I don't care but we have to accommodate a grandma who does. I have begged to get out of it.

IVFendomum · 03/03/2024 17:36

Saturday I want a break! I’ve booked a hair cut. My kids are 1 and 4, my husband works away a lot and I’m knackered 😅

Sunday park playground then pub roast with my parents.

WhatHaveIFound · 03/03/2024 17:36

It's my dad's 80th so we're having a small party (and a big cake)!

Rocknrollstar · 03/03/2024 17:36

First Mother’s Day without my mother. DD is cooking me lunch and my sister is joining us. My son is taking me out for dinner on the following Tuesday but will pop In on Sunday morning. DH will pretend it’s just a normal day.

FinallyFeb · 03/03/2024 17:39

Yesterday I booked a holiday and go on Mother’s Day. I’ll visit my DM at her nursing home next Saturday.

Donthideyourlight · 03/03/2024 17:39

We'll go to church and dcs have a drama class too. Don't know apart from that, but hopefully nice meal at some point. We never go out on Mother's Day but usually have something nice at home

AuntieMarys · 03/03/2024 17:40

None! Dcs live 300 miles away. I ignore the whole day tbh...means nothing to me.

biscuitcat · 03/03/2024 17:41

Brunch at a local farm park with a nice restaurant in the morning, then I'll send DH out with the kids in the afternoon and have a nice long bath. We're seeing my mum the day before with my siblings, and DH is planning his mum, but I think she's away on that weekend so it'll be another time!

theotherfossilsister · 03/03/2024 17:41

We're taking Mil out to dinner. I've asked my partner to help our baby make a card for me.

FountainofTruth · 03/03/2024 17:44

I'll be spending it working. Its my mums birthday today so we've spent the day together a birthday/mothers day al in one. I have left her a card and ordered a cream tea hamper to be delivered to her next week (db is seeing her mothers day). Adult dd and dgd are taking mother in law out for lunch. Dh and sister in law are taking mil out for lunch. So everyone is going out for lunch bar me. Definitely a takeaway night.

WhatFlavourIsIt · 03/03/2024 17:45

My kids are coming over on Saturday evening for a takeaway. Sunday, I plan a day lounging on the couch, drinking wine, and watching true crime docs

It’s a week yet. How can you know that? And if you do, why haven’t you said something? Planned something yourself?

x2boys · 03/03/2024 17:46

I'm going out for lunch with my mum and sister .

Will he pretend because he doesn’t know how to deal with your grief for your mother? Or is it habitual? If so, why?

Geebray · 03/03/2024 17:50

I'll be working, making a lovely Mother's Day for lots of other mothers.

cardibach · 03/03/2024 17:50

Going out for lunch with my daughter. She booked it for 3pm because ‘there’s no ambiguity about whether we are drinking at that time’. I’ll stay over at hers due to the drinking.

user1471538283 · 03/03/2024 17:50

My DS is taking me out to lunch! For the past 3 years I haven't done anything because of lockdown, COVID and gastro flu.
