Just as the title says really.

If you have any plans for next Sunday which is Mothering Sunday what are they, I'm just being noisy and lacking in inspiration.

What ever your plans hope everyone has a lovely time.

I'll be working, 7am-10pm. No Mothers' Day for me!

Dontcallmescarface · 04/03/2024 02:54

Nothing. DD is working and lives to far away to just "pop in" after work and both mine and DP's mums are dead. I didn't even realise it was next Sunday TBH.

We took mums out for lunch so mum, mil and me all have a treat

Lovely turkish restaraunt but on the saturday so it wont be as busy. My brother, dad and son are treating me and my mum.

Nothing much planned. DD is working and I'll probably still be recovering from having my appendix out. Anyway, we'd planned a.mother and daughter day at some stage where we'll go for a nice walk to a nearby garden, followed by a late lunch/early dinner and then a few glasses of wine at home.

Nothing will be done for me. My daughter will be doing things with her own family and hasn't done anything with me for many many years, although I will probably get a card.
My own mother and MIL have both died, we may go and lay flowers on my mother's grave if I feel well enough and it not flooded/icy. That will be the aim anyway.

Church in the morning. I've brought my presents (wouldn't usually but they were in sale) And I will engineer so that DH and DS are near a card factory/Tesco for some flowers and a card for me.

I've got my cards ready and will get flowers next week too. Might see if I can book a local restaurant.

It's a bit bittersweet. I am very fortunate to have my wonderful, gorgeous, healthy DC1. But DC2 and DC3 both died at birth/in pregnancy due to illness. It should be DC2s third birthday the week after mother's day. My DC1 is the whole reason I'm still upright, moving and carrying on.

Ideally nothing as it makes me cringe myself inside out but DH really wants to go out for lunch. We are out for lunch every Sunday just to the cafe near church and DD wants to have her normal Sunday. I'm gunning for that but DH is insisting on trying to go somewhere fancy. I'm hoping everywhere is booked.

Absolutely no mothers day plans. I dont do MD.

SpringLobelia · 04/03/2024 07:58

Nothing as far as I know. DH has some sort of competition on for his hobby so will be away that day. I can't be bothered to book anything for the Dcs and I as things are always packed out and a bit stressy.

I'm not that bothered by MD (or valentines day, or even my birthday) tbh. And I think cards are a terrible waste of money! That all makes me sound very bah humbug but I'm not really. Just disinterested.
