I'm looking at renewing my delivery pass. Which should I go with? All seem to be similar prices in passes at the moment

I won't shop like this given standards in my opinion have been extremely variable in recent times on fresh food and fruit and veg-so I will do Sainsbury's online for tinned and packet stuff and nectar points/offers - and then a mix of M&S with a bit of farm shop for fresh.

TubeScreamer · 03/03/2024 15:59

Ocado rather than any of those

Redglitter · 03/03/2024 16:02

Tesco. Very rarely get out of stock items & their subs are normally not only a good choice but a better value item.

All the drivers around here are lovely & bring my shopping into the kitchen.

And I like the fact my club card vouchers mount up so quickly

AristotelianPhysics · 03/03/2024 16:03

None because the quality and customer service just isn’t good enough. I’ve used Waitrose delivery for years now and have genuinely never had a problem.

YouDidntEvenAskIfSheWasThereMoriarty · 03/03/2024 16:10

I use Sainsbury's. I get quite decent offers with the Nectar card and I can use it to collect points for eBay and other things too.

Tesco has pissed me off too many times in the past with food items that have gone off. ASDA doesn't seem to be very good quality to me.

Crikeyalmighty · 03/03/2024 16:19

@RosesAndHellebores yes I missed Waitrose off my list- my office is 30 seconds walk away so I get bits and bobs their in the week too-

Karwomannghia · 03/03/2024 16:19

Tesco- always been good for deliveries and I get almost everything own brand which means subs are always subbed up! I compared a few items with other own brand shops and Tesco gram per gram price was cheapest.

delfttulipvase · 03/03/2024 16:32

I was a loyal sainsburys delivery customer for years but in the last six months they have started to go really downhill.

Smaller choice of products, regularly out-of-stock staples and some frankly odd substitutes, delivering poor quality fruit and veg (mouldy or after sell by date), twice just not turning up and customer service were worse than useless when that happened.

We have been giving Ocado a go for the last month or so and so far very pleased. Not a single sub or out of stock item in our weekly deliveries. And no real price difference.

I was loyal to Sainsbury for decades. Our local store management changed I believe and service and tidyness in store fell off a cliff.

Tesco seems just as good.

Asda I find a hideous shopping experience - scruffy stores, unhelpful staff, not brilliant quality food.

I gave up on deliveries unless absolutely essential aens ago due to substitutions, them turning up late or not at all. I can whizz into tesco on my home from work on a Friday night and chose exactly what I want.

Waitrose and M&S for top up shopping and special occasion shopping. In this area, Waitrose's meat and fish are hard to beat.

The local Sainsbury’s was good but then they kept moving things around and now less of their own brand or Stamford Street bits, half the bloody store now seems to be alcohol now too! At least the big Tescos isn’t like this. And has clothes.

Wooloohooloo · 03/03/2024 16:53

Sainsbury's because it's just up the road! I'd shop at one of the other two if they were closest.

msmatcha · 03/03/2024 20:41

I'm loyal to Tescos. Got us through lockdown, drivers always polite and on time.

DanceMumTaxi · 03/03/2024 20:43

I prefer Sainsbury’s but use Asda because it’s cheaper. Sainsbury’s is too expensive.

CrushingOnRubies · 03/03/2024 20:45

Tesco's I know where everything is and what's what's with their own brand

Currently live nearer a Sainsbury's and it's so much more expensive than Tesco

We occasionally go to Asda as it's nearer PIL and that's so much cheaper and the quality seems good

Gagagagagaga · 03/03/2024 20:47

Waitrose, I don’t mind a pop into Sainsbury’s but when I tried to do my normal shop online they didn’t even sell nice scented soap bars.

I don’t buy meat in the others so no point shopping there.

OnlyTheBravest · 03/03/2024 20:57

Just cancelled Asda, for past few months lots of out of stock items and random substitutions. No such issues with Sainsbury's but heart belongs to Ocado.

donteatthedaisies0 · 03/03/2024 20:58

Sainsbury's never Asda and controversially I don't like Waitrose's fuit&veg .

TheHeadOfTheHouse · 03/03/2024 21:03

I like Ocado, but the packing does my head in!

potatoes on top of bread etc. I’ve never got a loaf I could use and I’ve had Ocado shopping for about 2 years.

There has been a number of times that products have leaked over other products and they whole bag has had to be binned.

but they’re great for brand variety

shivbo2014 · 03/03/2024 21:13

We used Asda for years, but then the substitutions became too much. Moved to Tesco now, and they're fab, never get a substitution, and great service always on time.

Kidswhowouldhavethem · 03/03/2024 22:41

I don’t have home deliveries but I absolutely hate ASDA!! The shop layout, quality of food and the whole experience is awful!

Manyandyoucanwalkover · 03/03/2024 22:42

Ocado is the very best online supermarket.

ThursdayTomorrow · 03/03/2024 22:43

Tesco. It’s best for gluten free and I like the Clubcard points - they are basically the only way we can afford to eat out for a special treat.

lioneggs · 04/03/2024 13:35

Tesco
