An album you loved as a teen that you still love

What album did you love as a teen, that you still love now. I don't really listen to album anymore, just the individual songs I like on Spotify. However one album I will listen to, from start to finish, in the correct order, on a regular basis is Greenday, American Idiot. There isn't one song on there I don't like. I love the flow of the album, and it reminds me of being young.

Oh god loads. My taste hasn't changed much 😆

Over the last few days I've been off work so have had music on a lot! Amongst a load of other random stuff and playlists I've been listening to:

The Distillers: Coral Fang
The Pogues: Rum, Sodomy and the Lash and If I Should Fall From Grace with God
The Clash: London Calling
Rancid: And Out Come the Wolves
X-ray Spex: Germfree Adolescents

And quite a bit of Tracy Chapman and Toots and the Maytals but they're Spotify playlists rather than full albums.

ABC - The Lexicon of Love. Played from start to finish. Amazing

ALongHardWinter · 01/03/2024 16:50

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers. It was 1977 and I was 13. I didn't have my own copy so I used to borrow my older brother's one when he was out. Still love it to this day.

Oh yeah I can never tire of this!

Another vote for Oasis - What’s The Story Morning Glory, and also (unsurprisingly 90s) Blur - The Great Escape.

Def leppard Hysteria. Could listen to it every day, one of my favourites of all time😊

I came on to say American Idiot! Without sounding daft, it’s kind of the soundtrack of my life. Every song means something to me and evokes so many memories. I think it was the iconic album of the 2000s.

WaveAcrossTheBay · 01/03/2024 16:56

In Utero -Nirvana
The Color and the Shape - Foo Fighters
Razorblade Suitcase - Bush

I still love Celine Dion's Falling Into You album. I got it for my 12th birthday and I still know all the songs by heart.

I still love most albums I bought back then but the one that stands out is Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not by the Arctic Monkeys. Was 18 when it came out, I love them even more all these years later.
