Stovies!!!

TwistedAdmin · 29/02/2024 15:00

Hash browns!

TheChosenTwo · 29/02/2024 15:01

Mash but must be made with lots of butter and double cream and almost be liquid 😂 (we rarely eat mash!)

also a big fan of a nice well made crispy rosti.

Chips aren’t my favourite but I love fries, they can be made atrociously though so I’m wary!

Love a dauphinois 😋

Roasted with good quality gravy.

Garlicky potatoes with lashings of cream and copious amounts of garlic.

purplecorkheart · 29/02/2024 15:02

Chips but skinny no a fan of chunky chips.

Overall though I am not a huge fan of potatoes and would happily skip them.

DevaleraSpawnOfSatan · 29/02/2024 15:03

Oh yeah Dauphinoise, that is the grown up name.😂

Alwaysalwayscold · 29/02/2024 15:03

Roasties 100%, my own ones though

MonsteraMama · 29/02/2024 15:04

Fondant if I can be bothered. They're effort but they are delicious.

Good old fashioned crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside roasties, with rosemary and garlic, also if I can be bothered.

Mashed with cheese and mustard if I'm feeling lazy.

gamerchick · 29/02/2024 15:04

Definitely faffed on with and roasted.

bloodyeffinnora · 29/02/2024 15:06

roasted in beef dripping

Slowcomfortablescrew · 29/02/2024 15:08

Tartiflette
Roast
Jacket potato

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/02/2024 15:10

I like microwaving a potato with skin on then slicing and 'frying ' with a spray of oil, mixed herbs and garlic paste, salt and pepper.

And chip shop chips obvs.

LakeTiticaca · 29/02/2024 15:18

Jacket potatoes done properly in the oven NOT microwave, brush skins with olive oil, sprinkle of salt . Must be Sainsburys TTD vivaldi potatoes.
Absolutely lush 😍

Hoxite274764 · 29/02/2024 15:19

Jacket with coleslaw

EndlesslyDistracted · 29/02/2024 15:20

Chips or roasted.

Dauphinoise are the worst by a long way, I cannot bring myself to eat even a mouthful.

ArchetypalBusyMum · 29/02/2024 15:21

I like doing them roasted but in little pieces like a chunky dice size, roasted with Laguna if fresh garlic and sprinkled with paprika (add late in the cook so you don't burn it).
Garlic paprika roasties are awesome.

ArchetypalBusyMum · 29/02/2024 15:22

I make wayyyyyy too many, then use the lefty overs the next day, cold and tossed in mayo for epic potato salad.

GeniusLevelJaffaCake · 29/02/2024 15:22

Almost anything except plain boiled (and I don't care if you boil little ones in their skin, or big, peeled ones, all boiled potatoes are really boring).

BertieBotts · 29/02/2024 15:23

Roast is the best for sure, but I love a jacket potato just for the ease factor.

Potatoes are definitely the best carb.

newtb · 29/02/2024 15:24

Tartiflette or sarlaidaise sort of pan roasted in small pieces in duck fat - especially with confit de canard with the skin all crispy.

It's tartiflette this evening for dinner.

SisterhoodNotCisterhood · 29/02/2024 15:25

Mashed as long as it's almost a third just salted butter (and a bit of laughing cow/dairylea instead of milk or cream) OR roasted. I par boil mine, steam dry, fluff and sprinkle with semolina, salt and pepper before roasting in veg oil, turning regularly.

The whole family want plates full of both over whatever I serve them with.

ToHellBackAndBeyond · 29/02/2024 15:26

Flat discs cooked into the top of a hearty liver and bacon and onions. Yum.

AuntieMarys · 29/02/2024 15:26

New potatoes with mint and butter

Runningwildish · 29/02/2024 15:28

All the ways, except boiled,
