Purple makes sense. Look at the connection, then look at each word accordingly.

like Only Connect, sometimes it’s about the letters/words, not the meanings

They do this in my kids primary school. They all take a guess at what the connection will be for the last row. I’m willing to bet they don’t get it today!

I agree with everyone about the American culture references . So many of the ones that are connected with a prefix are things I've never heard of .
