Oh I'm so glad to find this thread. Yes the connections are infuriating; and being a watcher of only connect they are very poor.

Much easier today. I would have got purple without it being a default too - and that never happens !

I'm stumped on the strands at the moment though - got the first two straight off but can't see any further . Trying to do without the hints - and it's not really working for me .

Did you manage to do strands?

I did a couple of words to get a hint but they turned out to be correct 😂 then I got it, the connection was obvious
