Hi,

So I've noticed this more and more recently, so it's clearly the new in thing in the world of tweakments.

I should say, I'm not anti tweakments. I haven’t had any myself, but I don't feel strongly either way. It's a personal choice, but there are certain trends that I just don't understand and this is one of them. I know it's entirely subjective, but there are certain treatments that I think people fall into having because in theory, it would make sense that they'd make you look younger, like having a smooth forehead, fuller lips and now, slightly (to very) up turned corners of the mouth. In practice though, this in particular to me just looks a bit.....strange. Definite Joker vibes. I know the idea is a youthful mouth would point up rather than down. It sort of makes sense. Down = saggy and saggy = ageing I guess, but it doesn't look youthful. It looks quite creepy.

I've noticed quite a few celebs recently with this look and it's completely changed their face.

I say all this, but give me a few years and who knows, maybe I'll be fully on board with ALL of it! 🤣

Can you post an example please.

Overtheatlantic · 25/02/2024 14:17

Bezos fiancé has this. I think they don’t see it though, and think it looks sexy.

Uncanny valley!

A lot of people don’t look human anymore. You mess with one feature and it throws your whole face off.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 25/02/2024 14:18

I can't quite imagine what you mean so a photo would help.

I dislike lip fillers, looks really odd even when meant to to natural looking.

It really does throw the whole face off.

AhBiscuits · 25/02/2024 14:19

A friend of mine has it. I'd never say to her obv, but it looks really awful and I miss her old face.
There will always be trends that many people think look ridiculous.

saveforthat · 25/02/2024 14:20

I've never seen any "tweakment" as you call them that doesn't look absolutely hideous.

3luckystars · 25/02/2024 14:22

I have not seen this yet either, I would think something went wrong?
people are hardly asking for this are they??

Cas112 · 25/02/2024 14:23

Have no idea what you're on about

IggOrEgg · 25/02/2024 14:24

as above, please post an example photo, I have no idea what you’re talking about 😂

Neverpostagain · 25/02/2024 14:24

Titanoboa · 25/02/2024 14:29

Jacklyn Smith
Framke Jansen
Meg Ryan
Leslie Ash

OriginalUsername2 · 25/02/2024 14:37

Google celebrity joker smile if you want to see it.

I went to look for a photo to post but realised that it’s out of order to single out actual people. Just google it.

3luckystars · 25/02/2024 14:39

Ok I see it now, what would she do if she is annoyed and still looks like she is smiling?

I think we are getting closer to the Hunger Games every day.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 25/02/2024 14:41

Lauren Sanchez looks ok,I'm confused!

Watercolourpapier · 25/02/2024 15:33

Never heard of Lauren Sanchez but can't see anything amiss with her face. She seems to be a very beautiful woman.

2024Melanie · 25/02/2024 16:38

What do you Google? Joker mouth?

AhBiscuits · 25/02/2024 16:43

It's not a new thing, you'll find articles talking about joker mouth from nearly 10 years ago.
The person I always associate with it is Meg Ryan.

I had to Google it but I see what you mean, lol.

I'm a bit jealous as these people always seem to have 56 teeth vs us humble folk's 28 (32 if lucky).

tomago · 25/02/2024 16:47

Its fine its just the red lipstick looks like joker's lipstick?

Slanketblanket · 25/02/2024 16:50

Joaquin phoenix has this big time 🤡

Imagebrand · 25/02/2024 16:50

To be honest, I had filler to lift the corners of my mouth (I don’t like too much lip filler, so only get a tiny bit in my upper lip only and completely avoid my lower lip). I actually liked the end result! I didn’t look like the joker, but it made my smile look prettier and it was easier to smile if that makes sense? Like the resting bitch face was wiped away
