Wanted to be a Musical Theatre Actress, am an Operations director for a popular Restaurant Chain!

Wanted to be a teacher, am now a TA (after 20 years in teaching)

Wanted to be a mounted police officer.

Am a marketing manager (and still can't ride 😅)

I wanted to be a teacher. I've been a teacher for 24 years now - currently working on my escape plan

Dentist, I’m still a dentist one day a week and a retired dentist for the other 6.

Doctor specifically helping underpriviledged people.

Am now a doctor with a specialism in a hard to reach group.

Not remotely the sort of doctor I thought I'd be but the motivation is still there.

I wanted to be a Midwife.
I was a Nursery Nurse. ( Two years at college).
Then l passed exams age 30 to train as a Midwife.. but my ex became abusive ( mentally and physically) not wanting me to train.
I was running away from him one night after him hitting me and he threw me under a bus ( he was jailed for attempted murder) l was left physically and mentally disabled... so l never got the chance to be a Midwife..

Wanted to be a mummy to 10 little girls all named after flowers.
Am a Mummy to 5 girls none named after flowers!

Wanted to be a window dresser, am a bookkeeper.

Wanted to be a secretary (was for a while), am now a home educator.

Doctor or policewoman (as they were known as then!)

I run my own business.

Some sort of scientist - I said I wanted to do a job that didn't exist yet.

I got pretty much got my wish - niche scientific software development that was only just starting within academia when I was at school, I joined one of the earliest companies doing it commercially. That was over 35 years ago.

I’m a nurse. Did contemplate nursing aged 15 but went down a different route, going back to it when I realized my social policy degree was nonsense and not for me at all🤣

I’m ready for a change now but I’ve been nursing 23 years so not a bad choice!
