Putting washing on the line in the sun

I apologise if this is a niche pleasure - but does anyone else get a huge pleasure from seeing big sheets on the washing line in the sun?

Maybe it's a childhood thing.

Excellent forecast here today. Got a wash load waiting to be put on whilst I get some work out of the way 😬

Good forecast here today so I've got a load on now while DH is WFH in the kitchen, he's not too happy about it

Today has been very satisfying!

3 loads out today, it’s a warm sunny day here with a light breeze.

my neighbours have all upped their game too, I’m very proud of us all!!

Oh bugger. I'm trying to seize the moment. Looking outside - decided that there was enough breeze to risk putting out in spite of grayish skies. Just finished pegging out two full loads and it starts to rain!! Typical...

First load out but it's not sheets, they will be round two.

This load is a collection of random towels etc I want the sheets!

Well it's brightened up a bit this afternoon so washing back out and another load in the machine. I'm even considering changing the beds later if it stays dry!

Wind versus potential precipitation here. The tension is mounting. I've taken a big risk and decided to wash Autistic DDs favourite blanket. It absolutely has ro be dry by bedtime. It's windy, so I'm hopeful. The washing machine is due to finish in 5 minutes time. If the rain starts, I'll have to dash round to Mum and Dad's and dry it on the Aga.

Reading this thread is both a thrill and rather like watching a tense episode of a drama.

I have sun and wind on my disappointingly but sheet line; it's not the same but it is still 59% joyous

I've dried an epic 4 loads today! I just leave them out when the showers come, they haven't lasted long and the wind is so windy the showers barely impede the drying process at all.

Bedsheets tomorrow so I'm hoping for more wind and sunshine

It was just pretty much probably dry when the heavens opened. Ran out and got it in, but there were a lot of rain splatters on it. Thankfully, the conservatory was still warm from the sun, so half an hour later, DD had a warm, fluffy, dry blanket back. I'm really pleased with how it's washed (if anyone watches Gogglebox, it's the same bee blanket that the man in the Welsh couple has on the sofa)

We've just been out for a walk and it's a beautiful night. We live on the NE coast of England and the wind has been crazy today. It's dropped right down now. Showers forecast for tomorrow, sadly. I was hoping to get the cats blankets, and my Mum's dogs done.

Watching the forecast like a hawk.

I absolutely agree, just chit chat about one simple aspect of our daily lives, a chat over the garden wall!

I have towels in the machine, which be done soon. Then it'll be a dark load overnight and then bedding tomorrow. Two loads! It's so windy, the bedding will dry while the next lot is washing. The towels should mostly dry overnight and will be ready to come in when the bedding is ready to go out!

Exciting times today- we discovered that the cover on my youngest son's (foam) mattress unzips completely so have promised that will be in the wash today. Weather's looking promising...

Beautiful sunny morning and the church bells are ringing here, which always sound lovely. Good bit of wind, too.

I'm going for broke today and chancing the quilted pillow shams from my bed. They take a fair bit of drying, so fingers crossed.

I've just put the first load on, as I was too impatient to wait for my half price electricity at 11am. I'm putting another load on later of towels and dressing gowns.

Feeling rather exhilarated.

I put the towel load out last night and it was almost dry when I hung the darks out just after 7am. Our bedding is about to finish, which will replace the towels on the line. The kids' bedding will then go in the machine and our bedding should be dry by the time that's washed, as it's sunny and breezy out there! It makes me happy! ☺️

So I’m feeling a bit discombobulated this morning…It’s a beautiful (although cold) bright sunny morning with a light wind aka PERFECT DRYING DAY, amd the baskets are empty!! I have nothing to hang out!!😳

(I’m being slightly tongue in cheek with this, as due to several crap things going on which are outwith my control, I’m keeping a lid on anxious feelings by focussing on the laundry which I CAN control)

This is the time to patrol your house looking for washing!!

Cushion covers, coats before they go away for summer, summer stuff so it’s fresh (if) when it’s dry & warmer, pets bedding… basically anything that you can get washed and dried while it’s dry outside - you know it’s not going to last!!😁
And tbh I’m bloody jealous, got crazy weather here, windy, sun, then sharp showers😱

I have the same crazy weather as TheBlueAndAmber. It's very temperamental today.
