Always like these threads for inspiration. We may be having McDonald’s but if not some ideas would be good.

Really lazy here - a Sainsbury’s quiche with salad and jacket potatoes.

RabbitsRock · 22/02/2024 16:47

Something from the freezer, I feel rubbish and can’t face cooking, probably soup or pasta bake.

HelloDarlingWhatAreYouDoingHere · 22/02/2024 16:54

I've got some courgettes that need using, so maybe a courgette and bacon carbonara.

EricaJohns · 22/02/2024 16:58

Pancake feast.
We missed pancake day so making up for it tonight with some American style pancakes and a choice of 3 syrups.. golden syrup, chocolate syrup and maple syrup.. DD is very excited.

FizzyStream · 22/02/2024 17:02

We've got some chicken breast to use up and some fancy fresh veggie soup. Going to chuck the chicken in the soup and bake in the oven so it's like a sauce and also have half a bag of new potatoes that I'll halve and season and roast in the oven as well to go with it.

WhatHaveIFound · 22/02/2024 17:02

Butternut squash curry & pilau rice (homemade)

mathanxiety · 22/02/2024 17:03

Chicken curry that has potatoes in it.

Techno56 · 22/02/2024 17:04

Pork steaks (simply cook type in a tray already prepared and seasoned nicely) with braised red cabbage (home made at Christmas, frozen leftovers) and garlic potatoes (Asda ready chopped and herbed) so a nice dinner that requires very little effort.

I may have also just had pancakes with Nutella and strawberries a 'snack' ahem to get me through til dinner as I've had a trying day.

Killerqueenie · 22/02/2024 17:07

Homemade chicken nuggets with chips and steamed veg for us tonight.

Queijo · 22/02/2024 17:07

Dd is having macaroni cheese that I put puréed cauliflower into the cheese sauce, then really really finely chop broccoli and spinach and stir that in. The only way she’ll eat veg 😂

I’m having a tiny bit of that with her, and then a curry takeout when she’s gone to bed because I’m craving a dansak!

VanLife33 · 22/02/2024 17:08

Chicken curry

Quackers1990 · 22/02/2024 17:08

Cheesy fajita orzotto for us 😋

CuteCillian · 22/02/2024 17:09

Toad in the hole and braised red cabbage with apple. I need comfort food on this rainy day.

BrightNewLife · 22/02/2024 17:09

French cassoulet with puy lentils and lardons

Tiddlywinks63 · 22/02/2024 17:09

Homemade fish pie with peas and beans, there’s sautéed leeks in the mash.

She is great, never had a bad recipe, came across her on instagram.

MonkeyPuddle · 22/02/2024 17:10

I will be slinging some jarred pasta sauce on top of pasta, mixing in tuna and sweetcorn. On night shifts this week so we just muddle through.

paristotokyo · 22/02/2024 17:10

Potato and chickpea curry with basmati rice and salad

DontWasteMyTime · 22/02/2024 17:11

Beef stew with mashed potato

Wizzadorra70 · 22/02/2024 17:13

Super simple tea - oven roasted veg (onion, red pepper, courgette, carrot, potato and sweet potato) with lots of herbs and spices added. DH will have meat sausages with his, veggie sausages for me. Takes about 3 minutes to prep, 45 mins to cook and is perfect for mid week. With gravy and yorkshire puddings, and tenderstem broccoli.

Ilovemyshed · 22/02/2024 17:15

Have 't decided yet between a supermarket quiche and salad, or haggis, neeps and tatties.

GlitteryFarts · 22/02/2024 17:16

Chicken quesadillas and nachos here. Found the cheese sauce they use at the odeon in Costco mmm. Lots of spring onion, coriander, jalapeños, salsa and sour cream.
