What's your weird minor treat?

Mine is this:

Sometimes, in the middle of the day — maybe I've been cleaning or gardening or something, but not exactly vigorous aerobic exercise or anything — and without any disasters having happened that produce some compelling need to do so, I'll think to myself, "You know what, I'm going to treat myself to a fresh pair of knickers".

Not a whole set of fresh clothes, not a full-on shower and change — just the knickers.

For some reason, I always mentally frame this underwear profligacy as "treating myself". It just… feels nice to put on a fresh, clean, cool pair. A little half-way-through-the-day boost.

Scallops and black pudding for breakfast. I have them about once a month and savour every mouthful.

It's absolutely pouring here and I'm off to the McD's drive through for a latte and to park my car as near to the beach as I can. Half hour of peace and quiet

Every once in a while during a really stressful busy day in the office, I'll find a quiet corner in a wine bar with soft seats and savour a glass of fizz and 30 mins with a good book.

Alternatively, I'll go to a luxy place ( like Claridges or Fortnums) and just have a nice cup of tea.

At home, its a tin of condensed milk kept in the fridge so it gets quite gloopy, and then eaten by the teaspoonful.

Nearly every week I buy a buratta and eat it all to myself with a spoon. I like it in an plastic kids Ikea bowl too. I usually eat it on Monday lunch when wfh but I always run the vacuum round and do a quick tidy first so I can enjoy it even more!

Oh I’m sad now as I don’t think I have any ☹️. Although my pole dancing pole is arriving tomorrow and I imagine having random little spins round the pole whenever I go past 🥰.

My partner is vegan, although we don't live together.

Very rarely I have a child free afternoon, I put pate onto mini cheddars, lay them all nicely on a plate and then snuggle under a blanket and watch old episodes of Quantum Leap.

Not weird at all but I've discovered the joy that is an afternoon nap!

I, mistakenly, thought I had a free afternoon tomorrow & could come home for a nap...realising I have an unmissable appointment on the calendar tomorrow was gutting 😥

Also love finding myself a bargain for a pound or two on Vinted. Love coming home to a parcel!

Smoky bacon crisps. I live in a Muslim country so it’s actually quite an effort for me to get them - I have to go to another supermarket with a pork section, rather than my local. Sometimes I get lucky and they have Frazzles in stock too!

Yes a spray of perfume or body spray or even a nicely fragrance hand cream is a delicious treat.

I go to a website and choose the most decadent, luxurious, exciting, beautiful items and "add to cart". I then take pleasure in browsing my choices and then just shut down the browser/ app and never return 🤣

A coffee , an almond croissant from Lidl and sitting on the sofa with a book . No one talking to me , no sound just me , my croissant and peace .

Sometimes I'll get a double lolly from the petrol station. Not every time , just when I feel like it. I remember it always felt special when I was allowed one from the newsagents as a child.
