How long would your child last in a zombie apocalypse?

Just for fun, how long do you think your child/children would last in a zombie apocalypse? You can pick the zombie type.

Me and DD were messing around yesterday and talking about it and she came up with a "plan". So far fetched(even more far fetched than the possibility of a zombie apocalypse) that it resembled a Fast and Furious movie, complete with a bucket and tin foil to go into space.Grin

It spans years, at least two other planets and various adventures and eventually it ends with her being a goddess.

In reality, I give her a day. She's the type that would check out on her own what the weird noise is at the beginning of a horror movie.Grin

What about your kids?

My son? About 30 seconds.

One Christmas, my sister asked him (then 24) to open a jar of pickles.

”I can’t Auntie, I’m a creative, I have no upper body strength.”

did a proper laugh at this

I have just read this thread to DD who told me she couldn’t go out as she needed a blister plaster. So I reckon three seconds. DS, who has eaten a twix, a caramel
wafer and three slices of traybake today: 48 hours (until the snacks run out).

DD would complain so much the zombies would try to die

Brilliant!😂

DS1 wouldn't notice until all Liverpool football matches were cancelled, then he'd just carry on reading a book until it was all over. DS2 would ring and ask what to do. DD would boss all zombies into submission. If they failed to comply she'd just shoot them. DP was in the army. We have our zombie apocalypse plans finessed to the finest detail.

DS is a massive fan of Minecraft & Lego so I reckon he'd be able to make weapons and traps from Lego, no problem. He's previously mentioned that melting lego carefully would make his Ninjago models so strong that they would never be destroyed (I usually manage to knock bits off them when changing his bed), maybe I'd allow him to do this to fight zombies.
DD would end up ruling them, either as a zombie or living. If she was in a good mood, she'd get bitten but end up the boss within 3 days; if they caught her in a bad mood, heaven help them all as they wouldn't stand a chance. The Borg Queen would have nothing on her, the zombies would be under her command in no time.
In the interim though, DH would help DS with the lego. I'd be stood at the top of the stairs, flanked by the dogs, wielding 200yr old swords and shotguns.

10 year old DS would be in his element. All his marshall arts training, icehockey (evasion skills) and target shooting will finally come to fruition. I'll most likely be the first zombie he'll have to take out. I have no useful skills whatsoever.

DS16 wouldn't even notice from his PS4. Twin DDs aged 13. Absolutely no way would any zombies mess with them - their teen attitude is terrifying on a good day😂

My DD (4) is the zombie apocalypse. I literally hide from her at times.

DC1 wouldn't notice until the zombies were actually in her room, and only then if they weren't bringing her tea. Any other situation she'd wait it out eating minimal food and expending as little energy as humanly possible. She would survive a very long time, if you call that survival. Probably depends how long the internet lasts.

DC2 - will have a huge rage as soon as there is any shortage of preferred foodstuffs or internet. His fury will take out a few zombies but he'll be eaten himself pretty quickly. If he can get access to weapons he is pretty handy on first person shooters so may last a while.
