How to look as amazing as Pippa Middleton in a bikini?!?

Not a goady thread just genuinely want to know how to look as toned and in such good shape. Am the same age as Pippa. Just saw some photos of her on the DM (don’t judge) and she looks absolutely fantastic. Healthy but so fit. I would not look so good in a bikini. What do I need to do?!?

You need huge amounts of wealth and unlimited leisure, hot and cold running personal trainers and dieticians.

Well that's not true

Beingwithagroupogblokes · 17/02/2024 21:50

Ridiculous just saying she looks like that because she's rich, you still have to show up and put in the effort 💪

She looks similar to my friends who run a lot - they have full time jobs and children so it’s definitely achievable. They are all old school low calorie disciplined types.

I have literally no idea what the people who said she looks too muscular are looking at?!

If that was me, I don't think she looks too muscular, more that she doesn't look an attractive shape, I've nothing against a muscular woman, but she looks too flat and square for my aesthetic of attractiveness.

Just looked. She's... Fine? Thin, but her muscle tone isn't that great. I'm her age, have two DC and have better.

I'm not a millionaire and I don't have "nothing in my life"; I work FT and study to boot. I eat healthily and work out 4-5 days a week with weights and running.

Course you do Megs.

Generational wealth

Sums it up perfectly.

AngelinaFibres · 17/02/2024 22:03

She has good genes.
She has always played sport. Fitness will have been part of her life from childhood.
Superb muscle memory. She went into each pregnancy fit and presumably carried on exercising all the way through. Depending on the births she had she will have exercised again as soon as possible

Night time maternity nurse, nanny, cleaner, fabulous gym at home

She’s only 40. What’s the bloody mystery. I have a good figure at 40, cos it’s young!!

I don’t think she looks that attractive at all.

This

They knew they were being pictured. They agreed to it, probably in exchange for another story not being written or something. They probably allowed the photographer access for a certain period and insisted that the children’s faces were pixelated - deal done.

Why would they agree to that though? They don’t need to do deals with the Press. They aren’t public figures. It’s beyond intrusive.

Comedycook · 17/02/2024 22:13

I imagine you need lots and lots of time and money.

It's not. It's approaching middle age. Maybe you can say this when you're under 30...but no, a figure like Pippa's is not standard on most women at 40.

Devastatedandblindsided · 17/02/2024 22:15

a relative of mine looks very similar. She is very careful what she eats and runs ( not a lot but a bit). She’s 57.

I got a similar figure in 6 months from being a tubby size 12 without spending any time at the gym, any money beyond a few sets of dumbbells and while working full time. I’m not saying it’s easy but you can get that body by using YouTube workouts and tracking food for free using MyFitnessPal or similar. You do need discipline but it’s really not unachievable for an “average” person. No tummy tucks, personal chefs etc required, and I still have meals out, wine and chocolate!

And I’m definitely not rich (but didn’t need to be as it didn’t cost anything).

Edited

And size 12 isn't tubby

She’s not my type either tbh, agree a bit square.

I’d suggest she eat more and focus on more weight training so she builds up her glutes and thighs. I am assuming Pippa’s sole intention is to appeal directly to me, a middle aged woman faffing on mumsnet on a Saturday night whilst eating Nutella straight out of a jar

Devastatedandblindsided · 17/02/2024 22:16

Also very hard up so no gymns or trainers.

HiItsMeImTheProblemItsMe · 17/02/2024 22:17

I just had a look. She's slim. She looks fine. Much better than me lol but nothing special. I think women with muscle tone and bodies that look like they lift weights are much more attractive.

I don't mean any of that bitchy at all, as I say I'm a fat pig at present so I'm not one to talk. But yeah, she's just slim.

Morvillehrs · 17/02/2024 22:18

@Comedycook Really. Well what am I supposed to say to that.

Morvillehrs · 17/02/2024 22:18

Close the thread pp above knows every woman of 40 in the world. Don’t be ridiculous.

Morvillehrs · 17/02/2024 22:20

Ps don’t fall over @Comedycook but I actually know several woman of 50 that have a figure similar to hers. Stop with the all women are tubby after 40 bollicks.

Comedycook · 17/02/2024 22:20

It's a fact...very slim figures may be standard on women at age 20. But most women at 40 who have had three kids don't look like that. Very very few do....and those who do are likely to be exercising a lot and eating well.

Beingwithagroupogblokes · 17/02/2024 22:22

Kate looks stunning in the white bikini and later in the black one

You may well do...but most will be working hard for it. It will be vanishingly small number who are naturally like that. I have no idea why that's so objectionable to some posters.

VoleChomper · 17/02/2024 22:28

She's always been into sport and fitness and now that she's married to an extremely wealthy man she can train for hours every day without pesky things like deadlines and zoom meetings getting in the way.

Flottie · 17/02/2024 22:31

Be a keen runner. That’s what the article says. She’s been running since she was 8 apparently.

Shetlands · 17/02/2024 22:35

I wouldn't envy her figure because it's not very feminine IMO. Her figure is athletic, which is unsurprising as she's been sporty since she was young (sports scholarship to Marlborough) and has kept up her passion for it ever since, hence the muscles and lack of body fat.

If you're more feminine (curvy) why would you want to be flat chested with footballer's legs? If you just want to be toned and lose some fat, there are loads of free exercise videos on youtube, cut down on carbs, cut out sugar & booze. The most envious thing about her is her discipline to keep herself slim and fit and I'm not convinced that's mainly to do with money but of course it would help to buy yourself the time to weight train / run / swim etc.
