What's your favourite tea bags? I always have Tetley but fancy trying something new. Do you notice a different taste with different tea bags?

Yorkshire or Bird & Blend for a treat

Winnading · 21/02/2024 07:36

Yorkshire/Yorkshire gold/ringtons I forget which, but its def ringtons.

All other teas are inferior. I jest, I like lots of different teas, I just go back to these all the time. Love twinings assam for a change.

wobblyweasel · 21/02/2024 07:43

My favourite tea is Paned Gymreig tea, followed by Twinings English breakfast tea. Used to love Tickety-Boo tea, endorsed by Billy Connelly.

Barry's, the Irish tea. Not always easy to get but one of our local shops has started stocking it, and I'm hooked. Especially the strongest, Master Blend.

aiskabash · 21/02/2024 08:23

The Irish teas are my favourites: Barry’s or any Thompsons variety including their Punjana blend.

Some Thompson’s are sold at Tesco. Barry’s most easily found on Ocado.

Twinings Extra Strong Breakfast Teas, followed by Yorkshire.

I used to like PG Tips but it's awful now.

Me too.

You can still buy the old bags on Amazon.

TroysMammy · 21/02/2024 08:52

Waitrose extra strong tea.

KnickerlessParsons · 21/02/2024 09:32

Glengetti. You can only get it in wales. ☹️

TitaniasAss · 21/02/2024 09:33

Yorkshire tea, pref gold. There is no other tea worthy. 😂

Lampzade · 21/02/2024 09:34

English breakfast Tea ( Twinnings)

fritaskeeter · 21/02/2024 09:35

Teapigs are my favourite for most teas (but on the pricey side). Their everyday brew is really nice. Also their earl grey, mint tea and apple and cinnamon are lovely.

Twinings English Breakfast is good for a less expensive brand. It's nicer than the Twinings Everyday which can be a bit weak/ tasteless. The English Breakfast has more Assam in it.

GoodlifeGlow · 21/02/2024 09:36

Clipper it’s organic and tastes good. I bulk buy when it’s on offer at Ocado.

RichardsGear · 21/02/2024 09:39

So many brands here I've never heard of! Twinings Earl Grey for me, although someone at work recommended one called French Earl Grey but said they'd only seen it in a shop in London. Can't remember the brand.

RenoDakota · 21/02/2024 09:45

I used to swear by Yorkshire tea but was away for a weekend recently and the teabags in the hotel room were so awful I went to a nearby Morrisons and got some of their 'everyday' teabags. They are really lovely and flavourful.
I am a convert.

Potatomashed · 21/02/2024 09:45

Earl Grey lovers, you should try Pukka Earl Grey! It’s so good

marshmallowfinder · 21/02/2024 09:46

The taste of the tea totally depends on your water. I've spent ages trying to get the right one for my soft water. Previously, Yorkshire was always good at my old house, but it just doesn't work here. Still doing the research...

I've tried them all and it's either Earl Grey (occasionally) and definitely Yorkshire Tea all the way for me! I've even started on the Yorkshire loose leaf tea now, dug my tea pot out! I like my tea strong, no sugar and only the tiniest splash of milk!

BarelyLiterate · 21/02/2024 09:53

I like my tea strong, so Yorkshire is my normal brand. Twinings strong English breakfast is also good, but much more expensive.

Minikievs · 21/02/2024 09:56

Yorkshire.
Twinnings as a reasonable alternative

Appledrop · 21/02/2024 10:17

What about caffeine-free T-bags? I've tried most brands and none taste as good as their originals.

Blingismything · 21/02/2024 10:46

Punjana

millerpie · 21/02/2024 10:52

Waitrose gold.

almostthere75 · 21/02/2024 10:56

Builders tea for me too

Waitrose strong are good✔️
Yorkshire normal or Gold✔️
Strong Twinings occasionally ✔️
Tetley- nah ✖️

De caff
Tried a few but can't settle on a good strong one because most have poor flavouring ☕️

Thelightis · 21/02/2024 11:04

In my generic teabag tin i have Yorkshire or Tetleys at any one time and to be honest I can't tell the difference

At this exact moment in time I'm drinking loose leaf Twinnings Assam
