I just saw about ten blokes buying flowers in Tesco

Fortunately they had plenty left but they did leave it a bit late. More than I got though!

Why did they leave it late?

I got flowers and some chocolate and a card early this morning before my partner went off to work.

What's the point? It has become about requisite tokens, not romance.

We have an annual tradition of making amaretto sours and watching a terrible film. I like it tbh.

I wouldn’t consider it late for flowers really, it’s not like the days when you go to a florist and place an order.

Also he treated me to a currant bun, and I woke up to a slew of memes from my friends. I am having a very good Valentine’s Day really.

The roses in Tesco were really nice quality at a very reasonable price. Assuming they removed the sticker, I'd have been happy.

There’s nothing at all wrong with buying flowers on the day. How exactly would you go about hiding flowers bought the day before?

It’s not late it might just be on the way home from work

depends on the store but around6/7pm or next day depending on the date on the flowers
