Woke up on my 40th birthday with a boyfriend. Went to bed on my 40th birthday with a fiancé. (We're now married)

Widowed with a baby and 3 year old

At 40 I was married w two primary school aged DCs. Still married. DCs are now students.

At 40 I had been married for 17yrs and had just had our first child.

At 40 I was single, no kids. Had been single for best part of my late 20's/30's bar a few situationships. Now 42 and with someone wonderful so hope that continues. Still no plans for kids though and that's not going to change.

At 40 I had been married 9 years and had no children.

Married 18 years, with dh 21 years and 3dc.

At 40, in ltr with no plans for children. At 49, single & have a 7yo DD & hope that I never have to live with a man again! Anyone amazing would need their own house!

At 40 I'd been married for 14 years and had children aged 10, 9 and 6.

That was almost 20 years ago, I'm still married to the same man and the children are grown up.
