That was fine until my co-worker stuck out her hand to show of her diamond ring set in white gold I think it was.

The workmate who walked in said, "is that real." Honestly, she was being serious and had not noted what she had done by her insensitive comments

A large woman with loads of shopping, gets on the bus and immediately starts to complain that the 4 person bench wasn't big enough to hold me (9st) and a small elderly gent. She tried to get me to give up my seat by saying loudly that "some people are too fat to sit on the bench seat". I said "that's right, but I'm pregnant, what's your excuse?" She got up and got off the bus. I got a round of applause from the passengers as she regularly did the same thing to them.
