Not at all uncommon. Makes me very queezy but I've seen it often!'

VeniVidiWeeWee · 11/02/2024 00:41

So you can't afford this so you're questioning someone's taste.

Classy

CurlsnSunshinetime4tea · 11/02/2024 00:51

well at least the plumbing for an ensuite is there.
for that price though i would expect "more" especially in the kitchen.

galliverstravels · 11/02/2024 00:54

Oh my word that's open plan! It's very similar to my own home but we don't have the open plan loo bedroom. @VeniVidiWeeWee where did OP say they couldn't afford it? Having a loo so blatantly visible from the bed just seems a bit unromantic to me but whatever floats your boat...

Classy

Yeah, 'cos classy is having the toilet in full view of the bed.

Classy

About as classy as having a toilet next to your bed.

Aparecium · 11/02/2024 01:04

Too right, I'm questioning this! 🤣

Classy

I absolutely can’t afford this. Not bitter or jealous, I still don’t want to take a shit in my bedroom.

LostInPoetry · 11/02/2024 01:17

Have you not seen this done before OP? It’s not that uncommon. If you’re looking at properties, I’m surprised you haven’t seen similar before.

NoBinturongsHereMate · 11/02/2024 01:40

A bath in a bedroom is common enough. Not a completely open plan lavatory and shower with no screen (up a step, just to make sure the shower water runs down and pools around the bed).

RoseMartha · 11/02/2024 03:08

The bath is the bedroom I could deal with if it was a weekend away in a hotel or something but not the loo next to the bed like that.

Namechangesab · 11/02/2024 04:29

I only saw the bath thing and thought meh, maybe it's a jacuzzi but anyway not that unusual to have a bath in a bedroom.

Then I spotted the toilet 😅

I find that anything defined as 'Classy' by definition isn't.

I wonder if the camera lighting normally lives in a different space?

Maybe that's why the bed has a massive lifebelt around it.

🤣🤣🤣

user120405 · 11/02/2024 08:16

Bath in bedroom isn’t that unusual. I personally hate it but my dsis who lives in a multi million pound property has a large brass bath in her bedroom and she’s delighted with it. She has a separate en suite for the toilet, baisin and shower though.

HoweverWeare · 11/02/2024 08:17

That is a very confused home. Poor little home just doesn’t know what it wants to be.

That wooden panelled room contrasted with the toilet bed scene gives one whiplash.

TiredandLate · 11/02/2024 08:17

Aside from the toilet, surely all that steam would be a mould nightmare waiting to happen?

OolongTeaDrinker · 11/02/2024 09:09

The bath is not that weird but the toilet is! I’m surprised how awful the photographs are generally though for a house of that price. I’m surprised the vendors went along with them, I would be insisting in better photos considering how much commission the EA will be getting.

MaggieFS · 11/02/2024 09:16

In order of weirdness 1. Open plan loo 2. Ridiculously annoying bed life belt 3. Open plan shower.

I think that house is probably actually quite cheap for the area and I think that reflects a few oddities - mishmash if internal styles, very small kitchen and so on. Fully expect someone will completely redevelop it, either info flats if allowed, or a top spec house with a mahoosive kitchen taking over the whole lower ground. And then sell it for mega bucks.

I agree with how bad the photos are! They look fake they are so bad.

The price must be solely based on the location and the footprint of the property as the interior is awful and the kitchen is a nightmare. It needs a lot of work if it actually is a real place - it looks fake.

NC for this.

I have a big bath and loo in attic bedroom.

Don’t put them in, previous owner did. At first I was agog but now I couldn’t live without it. You COULD put a dividing wall up, but it would be horribly cramped and dark. There’s another loo downstairs. For my budget almost no houses had more than one loo/bathroom.

No damp, I ventilate always.

It helps me remember I don’t want any more husbands.

Beargrumps22 · 11/02/2024 09:24

seen baths in bedrooms but more hotel things toilets are not a chance. I am not really into open plan nowhere to hide junk!!!

Do you share with anyone or are you on your own??

LividBath · 11/02/2024 09:30

I don’t think it would suit a couple 🫣
