You would think if you could afford this house that you could also afford to poo in private!

So you can't afford this so you're questioning someone's taste.

Classy

You're judging the OP's finances.
Classy.

I'm definitely judging people who can't be arsed to put walls around their toilet.

I quite like the house. It's quirky. Even though totally not what I'm looking for.

I'd keep the olde worlde sitting room, keep the half-landing bathroom where it is, turn the LG room into a playroom/dayroom/guestroom, turn the walk-in wardrobe into a bedroom, redo the kitchen and turn that whole floor into a kitchen-diner. But first and foremost I would put a wall in that master bedroom!

I mean I guess I could live with the bathroom being down the stairs if it was a short flight (saying this like buying this house is an option for me 😂)

It seems to have a disproportionate amount of sitting rooms even allowing for a couple being bedrooms.

If money was no object I’d convert the basement into a kitchen/dining/sitting area, with a cloakroom off it. Rip out the ground floor panelling and fireplace and make it into a smart living room, maybe with a walk in storage for coats and shoes. Convert the first floor into a big double with en suite , leave the second floor as is with the little bathroom for their use.

then 100% reconfigure the top floor to have a nice big en-suite and maybe a walk in wardrobe

I viewed a flat like this once. It was (unsurprisingly) all done out in black and silver though. I presume that the owner had unsavoury tastes.

Oh, just saw the leather surround and headboard. Yeah.. I'd be side-eying the owners and not touching anything without checking with a blacklight first!

euwww - sex people bedroom.

mitogoshi · 11/02/2024 13:07

Ick, no thank you. And that kitchen is not very nice either, they could have at least tidied
